Situated on the eastern edge of the village of Karsiyaka, about 10 miles (16km) west of Girne (probably better known as Kyrenia), the newly built North Shore Villa is fully equipped with everything necessary to offer a wonderful opportunity for a relaxed holiday in beautiful and secluded surroundings. At an elevation of several hundred feet above sea level, on the side of the Kyrenia mountain range, the villa has wonderful, unobstructed views over the sea towards Southern Turkey – the coast and Taurus Mountains of which are visible when the heat haze lifts. Behind the villa the Kyrenia Range presents a dramatic, sparsely developed, 1000m high backdrop that like the sea, really comes alive when caught by the setting sun – pure magic! Nearby are beaches, restaurants, bars and sporting facilities of many kinds. A hire car is recommended, especially to explore North Cyprus' many historic sites

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds. For long winter lets 1st November - 30th March a discount of 30% per month 1 - 3 months, 40% 4 or 5 months.
Changeover day
Normal changeover day is Saturday, but this may be changed by special arrangement. On changeover day guests are asked to vacate by 10am and not to arrive before 4pm.

Accessibility
No access for people with mobility problems.
Outside
Open and covered patio areas; sun terrace around private infinity pool, 8x4x2m deep (max). Custom-built BBQ, sun loungers, patio table and benches, enclosed gardens largely laid to gravel, plenty of car parking space and carport.
Coast/Beach
Public and private beaches within 10 min drive. The beaches on the North Cyprus shores are a mixture of sand or volcanic rock, generally offering safe bathing: the Mediterranean Sea is clear with good opportunities for snorkelling and diving. Private beaches offer various kinds of water sports and even water taxis; the beautiful harbour at Kyrenia has sea-going vessels offering boat trips of various kinds.
Golf
New golf course at Esentepe 1 hour's drive away.
Travel
Nearest airport in North Cyprus is Ercan, 1 hour drive from villa, Larnaca in South Cyprus is 2 hours drive away. Arrangements can be made for pick up from either airport and if required, a hire car (recommended).
Distances
Karsiyaka village centre is half a mile away. The ancient town of Kyrenia with its historic harbour and imposing Venetian fortress is 20 mins drive away. The even older walled seaport of Famagusta is just over an hour by car, nearby to Famagusta are the impressive pre-Roman ruins at Salamis. The Karpas peninsula, abounding with beautiful beaches is about 2 hours drive, while the climb to the Crusader castle at St Hilarion (35 mins drive) is a must for the views alone, if a bit strenuous.
Further details
There are several small supermarkets within walking distance, in the village and along the main road, many larger supermarkets lie slightly further afield, Kyrenia hosts a superb open market every Wednesday. Cafes, bars and restaurants abound from the village all the way to Kyrenia, discos and casinos are also available. Many banks are found in Kyrenia - currently, Sterling cash is much preferred to travellers cheques.
Booking notes
A non-refundable deposit of £150 is asked at booking with balance paid 4 weeks prior to departure along with a security deposit of £100 per week. If payment is not made by this date the right is reserved to cancel the booking with loss of deposit. Bookings made under 8 weeks before departure require full payment plus security deposit at the outset. Security deposits are returned 4 weeks after leaving the villa less deduction for any damage, breakage, excess use of utilities, or extra cleaning.
