Changeover day
Changeover days are flexible. Check out time before 12pm and check in time from 2pm onwards, although we will do our best to fit in with late night/early morning flight times.

Accommodation

Notes on accommodation
The property is child-friendly with only a small step down to the pool sun terrace and a gate enclosing the rear patio. All rooms have remote controlled air-conditioning. Cot (including bedding), highchair, pushchair and car seat can be provided for a small charge, payable locally. Babysitting (evenings only) can be arranged for a small fee, payable locally as can trips to and from the supermarket. A Cyprus mobile phone is provided to make those phone calls home amazingly cheap. We have arranged with a locally-based English lady who runs a baking business for free delivery (subject to a minimum charge of 14 euros) of pies (such as shepherd's pie, fisherman's pie, steak and kidney pie), pasties, quiches, puddings and tarts.

Accessibility
There is a small step up to the main entrance and a small step down from the rear patio to the communal area. Both main entrance and patio doors have a sill.

Outside
A barbeque is provided in the rear patio/garden, overlooking the pool, as well as a table, 5 chairs and 4 sunloungers with cushions. The front and side gardens are landscaped and planted with mature shrubs. There is a general parking area and, attached to the property, a private parking space. The patio is covered for those shade-lovers.

The communal pool is a large figure-of-eight and is surrounded by a spacious sub-bathing terrace. Umbrella with stand is provided for outside use.

Coast/Beach
Coral Bay, the most famous beach in Cyprus, is about 20 minutes drive away where a full range of water sports can be found. Lara Bay, a nature-reserve for turtles, is approximately a 45 minutes drive away. There is also a beach at Kato Paphos, approx 15 minutes by foot.
Please note: Certain restrictions are in place with regard to using the beach at Lara Bay during the turtle's breeding season.

Golf
There are three quality golf courses approximately 30 minutes away by car: Aphrodite Hills, Tsada and Secret Valley.

Skiing
Skiing is available during the winter season in the Troodos Mountains, which are less than an hour's drive away. Cyprus is the only country that can offer both skiing and swimming in the sea within the same day.

Special interest holidays
Scuba diving is available at Paphos Harbour through CyDive, a member of PADI. For a very reasonable charge, lessons from beginner to advanced can be booked. Prices include hire of equipment and wetsuits.

There are also many areas of the coast suitable for scuba diving, although, obviously, this would be unsupervised.

Travel
Paphos Airport is about ten minutes away by car and Larnaca Airport is approximately a 90 minute drive. The Port of Limassol is only 45 minutes away by car. From Limassol it is possible to take mini cruises to Egypt, The Holy Lands and Mediterranean resorts.

Distances
Aphrodite's water park and Coral Bay are about 20 minutes away by car as are the Paphos bird park and Snake George's reptile park. There are a number of traditional Cypriot villages within easy reach by car, possibly the closest and quaintest is Konia (about a five minute drive).

Further details
Also worth visiting and within a thirty minute drive are Aphrodite's Rock (Pétra tou Romioú), Tombs of the Kings (historical burial site), Adonis Baths and Waterfalls (great for swimming and diving off rocks -- the water is said to make women younger and men stronger) and 3 golf courses (Aphrodite Hills, Secret Valley and Tsada).
Some of the activities available within a thirty-minute drive are go-karting, snorkelling, scuba diving, glass-bottomed boat tours and hang-gliding. Snow skiing is possible in colder winter months in the Troodos mountains (about and hour away by car).

Booking notes
A deposit of 25% is required and is non-refundable, the balance must be paid eight weeks prior to departure. A security deposit of £100 is also required, which is fully refundable, upon satisfactory inspection of the property and return of keys and mobile phone. Discounts are available for long winter lets and stays of 3 weeks or more. Please contact us for the pricings of short-term lets (three-six days).
