Pissouri Bay is approx half way between Limmasol and Paphos. It is surrounded by vineyards and becoming a popular holiday destination. This pretty villa is in a quiet area, 10 min walk to the beach with water sports, bars, restaurants and shops; 5 min drive away from the quaint old Pissouri Village set up in the cliff front where you will find an original Amphitheatre hosting shows during the summer period, a further selection of traditional tavernas, restaurants, craft shops, banks, supermarkets, pharmacy, post office, church and petrol station. If you hire a car it is only 30 mins either way to Limmasol or Paphos, 15 mins away from a selection of beautiful championship golf courses and from many of Cyprus’s ancient tourist sites. Cruises are frequently available across the coast to Egypt or trips through Nicosia into Northern Cyprus and across to Turkey. Many beaches and activities for the children or excellent for the couple seeking a romantic getaway!

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds and for two persons sharing the double room only. There is an additional charge for more persons staying. Prices are negotiable on lets longer than 1 month. Long Term Lets are available for special discounted prices. Welcome Packs will only be included on request and payment of an additional 20 UK pounds.

Notes on accommodation
There are ceiling fans in the lounge/dining area along with a combined air-conditioning/heating unit. Both bedrooms have combined air-conditioning/heating units. There are solar panels on the roof for continuous hot water plus an emersion for top up if required. Internet access is available from the Internet Cafe in the village depending on guest requirements.
Accessibility
Would be difficult for people with mobility problems due to the staircase and steps in the surrounding garden.
Outside
The garden area contains a 4 place table and chairs, 4 sun recliners and a BBQ. There is seperate gate entry or access through the patio doors in the lounge. The pool is for use solely by tenants of the villa approximately 10ft x 12ft.
Coast/Beach
The beach down in the bay is part pebbled, part sand and is a 15 minute walk from the villa. There are many beaches throughout Cyprus if you drive about 20 minutes down the coast road in either direction from the villa, you will find many secluded bays, some pebbled and some long stretches of golden sand.
Golf
There are 2 championship golf courses only 15 minutes drive away from the villa. Secret valley is a pretty course which is very busy. Aphrodite hills is a recent very challenging course with breathtaking views.
Skiing
During December to February/March the ski resort in Cyprus is open. Equipment is available for hire and lessons may also be obtained. This is a 2 hour drive by excellent motorways up to the resort. There are ski lifts to different locations and many local tavernas, traditional Cyprus kebabs and spit roasts available.
Travel
Travelling to the villa from Paphos airport will take approximately a 30 minute drive. Travelling from Larnaca airport will take approximately 1 hour. It is not essential to have a car as many facilities are within walking distance of the villa, but to see more of the delights of Cyprus then a car is essential.
Distances
Pissouri is a very central location. The most distant points of Southern Cyprus can be reached in a 2 hour period by car, including the capital city Nicosia. The nearest towns and villages can be accessed by a 15 minute drive in either direction from the villa.
Further details
Many of the local towns including the capital city have a wide selection of international boutiques to local handicraft shops. Cyprus is famous for it's local wine which you can see being made at various wineries. It is also famous for it's lace making and spun silver, examples of this process is widespread throughout Cyprus. There are many historical tourist sites throughout Cyprus and you have the choice of winter snow skiing in the morning and water skiing in the afternoon!

Bookings can be made on-line or by email and will only be confirmed once a 50% deposit has been received by bank transfer or cheque and flight details have been supplied. Full payment must be received at least 2 months prior to rental, via bank transfer or cheque. Please note that a welcome pack is not provided unless requested and there will be an additional charge for this of 20 pounds sterling.

About the owner
I am English and was born in Lincoln where my family still live, but I have lived and worked in the Middle East for the past twenty years. I came to visit Cyprus regularly on my visits back to UK. A friend had an apartment in Limmasol which I stayed in for many years until I decided to take a weekend break in Pissouri and fell in love instantly. I have many friends that have already retired from the Middle East to Cyprus and it is great to go and visit them in different areas. I also love the Cypriot people and the easy way of life in Cyprus and can't wait until I actually get the chance to retire and live there myself! Hope that you feel the same and enjoy my home!

Why the owner chose a home in this location
I had watched the development at Klimataria and Ambelones being built and always loved the area. When a property became vacant I jumped on the chance of purchasing it and have loved the place ever since. Pissouri is easily accessible to many beautiful secluded beaches and has many local and international bars and restaurants. There are water sport activities available down in Pissouri Bay almost all year round. It is easy to get to any part of Cyprus from my villa as the main motorway is just a two minute drive away. Paphos Airport is just 20 minutes drive away and Larnaca is just over one hour drive.
Unique benefits of the property
Pissouri is still a quiet, relaxed village, but buzzing with water sports and shows in the old Amphitheatre during the Summer. There are two first class golf courses just 15 minutes drive from the villa if you fancy a challenge! The villa provides everything that you would find in your own home which is included in the price. I also provide beach towels and a cold box for outdoor picnics. Above Klimataria is Ampelhori where you will find an excellent restaurant overlooking their pool and the valley below which is a five minute walk from the villa. There is also a local shop, car hire and another restaurant 5 minutes walk down towards the Bay. It is a 15 minute walk down to the Bay where you will find many local restaurants & bars.
