Its location near the village of Catalkoy, ensures that plenty of local amenities, including fine restaurants and supermarkets, are within a short distance. With lively Kyrenia and sandy beaches a 10 minute drive away, and uninterrupted views of Bellapais Abbey, Besparmak Mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, the villa is well situated for an enjoyable holiday. Villa is maintained by Sandra and Lorraine, who will get your holiday off to the perfect start by organizing your airport pick-up, hire-car, and ensuring a welcome pack of food and drink is arranged for when you arrive. They will also call in on the first day of your holiday, to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Changeover day
Saturday is the preferred changeover day in the high season June - September, but we are flexible on this.

Notes on accommodation
Villa is suitable for couples, families and the elderly. Villa is maintained by Sandra and Lorraine, who will get your holiday off to the perfect start by organizing your airport pick-up, and ensuring a welcome pack of food and drink is ready on your arrival. They will also call in on the first day of your holiday.
Accessibility
Note: Elderly visitors are welcome, but internal staircase and steps at rear of property, make it unsuitable for the disabled or infirm.
Outside
2 sets of patio doors lead out onto a terrace with large dining table, chairs and parasol. There is a private 10m x 5m overflow swimming pool, with depths from 1m at the shallow end, to 2m at the deep end. The pool terrace has a shower, barbecue, 6 sun loungers with 3 parasols. The garden is planted with a good selection of flowering shrubs, vines and trees. Outdoor lighting, lanterns and pool lights ensure that the outdoor terrace is a perfect place for family dining on any evening.
Coast/Beach
There are a selection of sandy beaches within 10 mins drive of the villa, all with good facilities including swimming pools and watersports - Vogue Beach, Acapulco Beach Resort and Aligadi Turtle Beach. For the kids, there is a small aqua park 5 mins drive away, and in Ensentepe, 10 mins drive along the coast, there is a Turtle Project where you can see and learn about Green and Loggerhead Turtles.
Golf
A new 18 hole Championship Golf Course is now open at Essentepe - a 15 minute drive from villa. It is the Korineum Golf and Country Club offering an 18 hole, international standard golf course designed by Arne Van Amerongen. The Golf and Country Club also has a private clubhouse, public restaurant, bar and hotel facilities. Golfers enjoy the breathtaking views of the Besparmak mountain range as well as cool sea breezes during peak summer golf season. Course management offer both annual membership as well as daily green fees to accommodate residents and tourists alike.
Skiing
During the winter months skiing is available in the Troodos Mountains. See Republic of Cyprus (South Cyprus) for detailed information on skiing facilities. The South of the island is now fully accessible for tourists and residents of the TRNC, although users of vehicles registered in the North have to pay a small insurance surcharge at the border, and cars hired in the North cannot be taken South at present.
Travel
Flights are available from all major UK airports to Ercan (Northern Cyprus) and Larnaca (Southern Cyprus).
Flights into Ercan have one stopover in Turkey.
There are many charter and scheduled flights into Larnaca from nearly all UK airports. Villa is around 30 minutes drive from Ercan, and around 1 hour drive from Larnaca.
Car hire and airport transfers from/to Ercan/Larnaca can easily be arranged and please enquire for further details.
Distances
The centre of Catalkoy village is a 10 minute walk.
Centre of Kyrenia, including the harbour and castle, are within a 10 minute drive. Up in the mountains, Bellapais Abbey and St. Hilarion Castle can be reached within a 20 minute drive.
Further details
Nearest supermarket, bar and restaurant are within a short 5 minute walk. Plenty of further amenities including supermarkets, restaurants, bars and local shops are all within easy reach in Catalkoy village. Kyrenia is easily accessible along the coast, with plenty of banks, shops and nightlife, including casinos, live music and discos. Northern Cyprus is blessed with over 300 days of sunshine a year. Winters are mild, the temperatures can reach into the 70s, and rarely extend beyond February. June, July and August are the hottest months, and ideal for sun worshippers. Not surprisingly, April, May, September and October are most popular, when the weather is still wonderfully warm (rarely below 80), but with cooler evenings.

Deposit of 20% required with booking, and balance 8 weeks prior to departure. Returnable deposit of £150 at time of booking to cover damage or breakages.
