"The Escape" is a large villa with pool that sleeps 6 comfortably. Close to the picturesque village of Pervolia, it's perfect for a relaxing holiday in Cyprus. With air conditioning (and heating) throughout for your comfort, day and night, you will also enjoy a decent sized swimming pool to yourselves. Or, if you prefer, a sandy beach is just a 10 minute walk away. The villa is in a quiet location - a small gated complex - and is away from main roads and there is plenty of room for children to play in the garden, while you relax. The village is a short walk with restaurants, a bar and other amenities, or you can stay in for a BBQ by the pool. Fresh food is available from the supermarkets in the village or from the local bakery / deli, a 15-minute walk from the villa. A bus stop right by the villa goes to the busy town of Larnaca and into the village, or hire a car and explore the island - there's lots to see for all the family. Cots and high chairs are available on request.

Changeover day
We are flexible on changeover days and will aim to accommodate your requests. Check-in on arrival after 4pm and check-out 12pm but again, we can be flexible depending on changeover arrangements.

Notes on accommodation
The villa has a lockable front gate so is ideal for families with children. There is plenty of space on the villa gardens as well for children to play safely. The villa has air conditioning (and heating) throughout for your comfort.
Outside
The villa has the sun all day long if you love to sunbathe next to the private pool. The garden is also fenced to 5 to 6 feet all around so you have plenty of privacy. The garden is very large with plenty of space for children to play safely. There is a private car port on the property for your hire care with no need to park on the road.
Coast/Beach
Just a couple of minutes to the beach in a quiet family villa location. There is a beach with water sports less than 500m or you can venture in to the beautiful sandy McKenzie Beach which is doesn't get too crawded but there are plenty of bars and restaurants. If you want it more lively you can go to Larnaca. Both Larnaca and McKenzie Beach are shallow beaches - great for children.
Special interest holidays
If you are looking to learn or practice kite surfing, there is a kite surfing school in the village of Pervolia, with a bay perfect for this exhilarating sport and there are water sports 500m from the villa on the quiet Faros Beach.
Travel
Pervolia is situated just to the west of Larnaca about 15 minutes drive from the international airport and about a 20 minute drive to the centre of Larnaca. The villa is also next to a bus stop that travels to Pervolia and Larnaca, and there is also a local taxi service.
Distances
Pervolia is a lovely Cypriot village with tavernas and restaurants for family meals out and a slice of real Cyprus village life. Pervolia is approximately 2km away, a 5 minute drive or a 20-30 minute walk.
Larnaca is about 15km away and is one of the big cities in Cyprus with all the major facilities of a thriving tourist destination.
Further details
The villa is next to Cape Kiti, and there is a beach café 100m away, perfect for afternoon drinks and snacks and there is a promenade walk for a beautiful sunset stroll.
There is a bakery / deli just a 10 minute walk from the villa as well as local shops and restaurants in the village of Pervolia, which is about 2km (20-30 mins walk) away and there is also take-away food available if you fancy staying in.
Larnaca is a city steeped in history, with the Ancient City of Kition, Agios Lazaros Church and the Hala Sultan Tekke. The main strip in Larnaca has bars and restaurants for all tastes as well as a large beach, and great shopping. McKenzy Beach at the south of the city, is also a great place to spend a day.

About the owner
The villa is owned by Craig Killick and Robert Jones.
We work together in the UK and decided to buy the villa as a 'pension'. As well as renting the villa out to friends and family, we also make sure we visit regularly - we both love the area.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Pervolia is a lovely quiet location, perfect for a family holiday, which suits me and my family.
You can either laze by the pool all day, take a walk to the sandy beach at Faros, or get in the car and travel around the island.
Although it is a quiet village location by the sea, it's also close to Larnaca, which is lively (but not too lively) so we can get in the car and within 15 minutes be in the centre of things.
The local tavernas are reasonably priced and the food is of good quality. What's more, the people are very friendly.
