Coast/Beach
5 minutes by car to selection of local beaches. Most have umbrellas loungers and cafes. Many have sun and water activities. Isolated coves and beachy inlets waiting to be discovered, just follow a dusty track. Much of the coastline remains unspoilt and underdeveloped.
Golf
Korineum Golf & Country Club is 40 minutes away at Esentepe. This is a professional 18 hole course with a golf academy, extensive restaurants, shops and spa facility. Cengiz Topel golf club is 20 minutes away. 2 loops of nine with 17 tees. Par 70. Greens are replaced by browns which are a credible putting surface. Brand new 18 hole with full facilities opening shortly about 40 minutes away.
Travel
Regular flights to north Cyprus are now available from several UK airports including Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Mancheste, Belfast and Glasgow. These flights land at Ercan Nicosia, 40 mins by car from villa Louisa. Alternatively fly direct to Larnaca in the South. taxi can be arranged, it takes about 60 - 90 mins from airport to pool!
Distances
Villa Louisa is located in the heart of the village. Local buses and taxi are easily available to the main beaches restaurants and the main town of Kyrenia about 12km away. Car hire at least for part of the stay, is recommended. Car hire to European safety standard, can be arranged and delivered to the door. Kyrenia is about 20 min by car.
Further details
The nearest supermarkets are 10 mins drive away. Horse riding, paragliding, Go-karting sub aqua and water sports are all available locally. boat trips leave regularly from Kyrenia harbour. Cyprus has a colourful and varied history and several archaeological sites from the roman and Venetian era. Crusader castles, gothic monasteries, shipwreck museums, ampitheatres and mosaics are waiting to be explored. Ideal base for walking or mountain biking holidays.
