Villa Jacroy is a three bedroomed villa sleeping six, fully furnished with all the luxuries required to make your holiday as relaxing as you wish to make it. This villa is not on a complex and has its own private pool for your exclusive use its 9m x 4m. It is on a large landscaped plot. Located approx 3 mile east of Girne (Kyrenia) just off the coast road, coast side of the road. With fantastic mountain views and a sea view. Ideally located to provide a peaceful relaxing holiday. It setting is on the edge of the village of Catalkoy for easy access to Girne and the surrounding area including beaches and restaurants.

Notes on accommodation
Each bedroom and the lounge area has a large floor standing fan.
We have a large Northern Cyprus Information file we have compiled ourselves full of useful travel and tourist information, maps and details of some of the local attractions/activities. There is a pay as you go mobile phone at the villa for your use to enable you to contact us or book restaurants, taxis etc.

Accessibility
We have had people who use a wheelchair stay at villa but please note we have two steps at front access and the same at the rear of villa.
Nice wide doors in villa and inside is all on one level. Large walk in shower is ideal for people with mobility problems.

Outside
The pool is probably our favourite feature of the Villa, the pool measures 9m x 4m and we have a range of lilos and inflatables so you can lounge in the sun. The shallow end is less than 1 metre deep and perfect for young children whilst the deep end reaches around 2 metres for older children/adults to really cool off. we have four sunloungers with side tables and two large umbrellas should you need some shade. Just in shot on the left is the covered patio area with a large table and chairs and a brick BBQ, perfect to sit and eat watching the sun set... the submerged pool lights set a welcoming night time scene for you to enjoy a drink, sit and read or even have a night time dip in the pool!

Coast/Beach
Many great beaches nearby the villa most within a 5 minute drive. Heading out east from villa in search of the beaches of Northern Cyprus you will again not be disappointed. Firstly you’ll come to Catalkoy Beach.
Another excellent swimming location is Alagadi or Turtle Beach. The bays are home to nesting turtles, which you can see the turtles been hatched in late July and August.
Discover other great beaches just driving around, on many you will be the only people using the beach.

Golf
New 18 hole Championship Golf Course now open at Esentepe 15 minute drive from villa. It is the Korineum Golf and Country Club offering an 18 hole, international standard golf course designed by Arne Van Amerongen. The Golf and Country Club also has a private clubhouse, public restaurant, bar and hotel facilities. Golfers enjoy the breathtaking views of the Besparmak mountain range as well as cool sea breezes during peak summer golf season. Course management offer both annual membership as well as daily green fees to accommodate residents and tourists alike.

Skiing
During the winter months skiing is available in the Troodos Mountains. See Republic of Cyprus (South Cyprus) for detailed information on skiing facilities. The South of the island is now fully accessible for tourists and residents of the TRNC, although users of vehicles registered in the North have to pay a small insurance surcharge at the border, and cars hired in the North cannot be taken South at present.

Travel
Flights to Northern Cyprus are on Turkish Airlines and Pegasus.

Distances
Village of Catalkoy 1 mile away, 3 miles to main town of Girne (Kyrenia). 20 mins drive to Ercan (Lefkosa) aipport, just over one hour to Larnaca airport. Nicosia 20 min drive. Famagusta (Gazimağusa0 just over one hour drive.
Local supermarket, ice cream shop, and cafe only four min walk from villa.

Further details
Local shop a nice friendly supermarket only a 4 minute walk away. Open from around 7.30am to 10pm seven day a week. Climate: Northern Cyprus is blessed with the most pleasing climate in all of Europe. Winters are mild and rarely extend beyond February, and with over 300 days of sunshine a year, the temperatures can reach into the 70s well into December, and as early as February. In April and May, North Cyprus is at its most beautiful, with fields of wild flowers in full bloom, and the weather is not unlike that of a good English summer. June, July and August are the hottest months, and ideal for sun worshippers. Not surprisingly, September and October are most popular, when the weather is still wonderfully warm (rarely below 80F), but with cooler evenings. With such a climate, this is an ideal destination for Winter sun breaks, and flights, as well as our rental prices are very good value at that time of the year. With a hire car it is possible to visit some of the most beautiful monuments, castles and other historic sites, - this part of the island is rich indeed, in sites of special interest - full details are available in the guest welcome information pack provided at the villa. Places to visit: St Hilarion, the castle on which Walt Disney based his castle for sleeping beauty, Buffavento, Kyrenia and Kantara castles. Bellepais Abbey, floodlit by night. Roman ruins at Salamis and Famagusta. The turtle project at Aligadi beach. The Karpas peninsula is a must and a personal favourite. Just as you reach the Karpas, Kaplica beach has a restaurant that serves freshly caught fish which they cook while you bathe. A number of boat trips can be booked at Kyrenia harbour. Rambling, Scuba diving, water sports, paragliding, and horse riding are all readily available. Every Wednesday there is an all-day open market which is well worth going to for 'just about everything and anything'!

Comments: What a lovely relaxing holiday! The Villa Jacroy has a beautiful garden, plenty of sunbeds, umbrellas and shady trees. And a wonderful pool to cool off in. Our daughter liked the hammock and the swinging chair. There are a few restaurants within walking distance. We found a short trip into Kyrenia by bus or taxi was worthwhile for a choice of restuarants on the harbour. It was a good base for getting out and about - easier with the car we hired for three days. We had a wonderful holiday and didn't want to come back! Name: Gaye, Tom, Joe and Maddy.

Comments it is hard to capture on the website just how lovely it is here. The villa is particularly private and tranquil, the pool area is gorgeous. There is everything you need for a great holiday and the only problem we had was that we only booked one week when we should have booked two! We would recommend this villa to anyone.
