Modern Cypriot style villa, comfortably furnished and very well equipped. It is within walking distance of the village of Ozankoy and 5 minutes drive to the centre of Kyrenia. There are several excellent restaurants just a stroll away and there are 3 very good supermarkets close by. The villa boasts an 8m x 4m private swimming pool and a Cypriot built-in BBQ. All of the bedrooms and the large lounge have air-conditioning units also gas central heating for the winter. There is a separate dining room through an archway from the kitchen with a lovely Thai table and 6 chairs. The large front terrace with sea view is furnished with 4 comfortable armchairs, coffee table and a glass dining table with 4 chairs. There are lovely sea breezes from this terrace and it is mostly in shade but there is also a sun umbrella for mornings when it catches the sun. The pool area at the back of the house has sun all day. Villa Leni is in a very quiet street with similar houses.

Due to a cancellation the villa is now available from 7 - 20 September 2008.
Should your flight be arriving on Saturday 6/9/08 we can arrange a night at a nearby hotel - at our expense.
Changeover day
Changeover days are flexible. The villa will be made available for your arrival and is yours until you depart for your journey home, whatever time that is.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 with double bed, private furnished balcony & en-suite. Bedroom 2 with double bed, private furnished balcony, sea view. Bedroom 3 has twin beds. All of the bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and drawer units. There is also a safe for guest's use. |
| Bathrooms: | En-suite has shower, wc & washbasin. Large family bathroom has wc, washbasin, bath with shower & separate walk in shower. There is also a guest cloakroom with WC & washbasin downstairs where the washing machine, iron & ironing board are also located. |
| Kitchen: | The kitchen is very well equipped with fridge/freezer, gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, blender, mixers, deep fat fryer, juicer, pots, pans, pyrexware etc. Full range of tableware + glasses, water cooler. |
| Utility Room: | Washing machine, iron & ironing board. Also downstairs toilet and washbasin. |
| Living Rooms: | The lounge is comfortably furnished with 2, 3 seater sofas, coffee tables etc. Also a 26in TV with Digiturk Satellite system, DVD player, video and music system. There is also a large library of DVDs (100+) CDs and over 80 books for guest's use. |
| Other: | There is large terrace at the front of the house with sea view furnished with armchairs and coffee table, also a dining table & 4 chairs and sun umbrella and stand. There is also a portable TV, Video player, DVD & CD player. Board games and cards also. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Quality bedlinen and towels are provided and the house cleaned weekly. Pool and beach towels are provided, but we ask guests to launder them yourselves for the incoming new people if you choose to use them. There are hair dryers provided in each bedroom. |
Notes on accommodation
Villa Leni has all the comforts of home, it is very well equipped in all aspects. There is air-conditioning in all of the bedrooms and in the main lounge, with central heating for the cooler evenings. We consider the house suitable for children, but adult supervision is required in some areas. ie; Pool is not fenced and there are steps at the front of the villa, also the patio at the front is raised by 3 feet to the gardens.

Accessibility
Because of the steps and the marble stairs, the house would be unsuitable for wheelchair users.
Outside
The garden is maturing now, with palms, geraniums, passion flowers and wonderful orange, mandarin, apple, lemon and peach trees, off which we encourage our guests to pick the fruit and enjoy. We also have a new fig tree planted 2 years ago, the fruit will be ready this year. There is a pear tree and yanadunia tree planted this year. The pool is 8m x 4m, overflow, private and cleaned twice a week. There is a built in BBQ and an outdoor dining table with 6 chairs. There are sunbeds with cushions and 2 comfortable armchairs with coffee table all poolside. Also 2 large umbrellas for shade and 2 smaller portable umbrellas and stands. There is a garden shed where there are 2 cooler boxes for picnics or trips to the supermarket, BBQ grills, chairs and umbrellas for the beach. There are also air-beds for use in the pool. Pool towels are provided if you wish to use them but we ask that if you choose to use them, would you please launder them yourslves, ready for the next incoming guests.
Coast/Beach
There is a local beach at Karakum approx 3 mins drive. Also Lara Beach is a beautiful little bay with good sand and safe waters, also sunbeds and umbrellas can be hired here from the little beach bar, it is about 10 mins drive away. 20 mins drive will take you to Turtle Beach, it is a conservation area, miles of sand and few people. Though it does have a little snack bar it does not have umbrellas, sunbeds or beachchairs though you can take the ones we have in the shed.
Golf
There is a brown golf course at Guzelyurt about a hours drive on the West of the island and the new Korenium Golf Club at Esentepe which is 15-20 minutes drive to the East. They both accept visitors and the new clubhouse at Korenium is lovely and serves great food.
Travel
Ercan Airport is 40 mins away. Taxis are always available there or we can arranged one for you. Travelling into Larnaca Airport in the South is also an option, there are lots of charter flights going in there, or BA from Heathrow. It is about 1 hour and a half from the villa, we can also arrange a taxi who will collect you there. Should you need help with flights please contact me.
Though the house is close to most amenities car hire is recommended, we can arrange this if you would like us to.
Distances
We are about 10 minutes walk to the sleepy village of Ozankoy, which has a Mosque, 2 mini-markets and a some very nice restaurants. Bellapais Abbey is a 10 minute drive, and the beautiful harbour and castle at Kyrenia the same. St Hilarion Castle is well worth a visit, but because of all the steps only for the fit! The Karpas, also known as the panhandle is a 3 hour drive so it's best to arrange an overnight stay if you want to visit, it's lovely there and so unspolit. Famagusta is around 1 hr.
Further details
One of the best restaurants in the area Rafters, is just 2 minutes walk away. European and curry menu and they will do take away! Also just on the main road is the Courtyard, walkable as well, run by the same family, both are very friendly places to go. There are 4 very good supermarkets within 3-5 minutes drive. Lemar being the biggest and going towards Kyrenia. Going the other direction there are Erdener & Supreme supermarkets, also a new Lemar. All have recently been re-vamped and are now "just like the ones at home" they all have excellant butchery/deli counters, selling beef, lamb, chicken and pork products including bacon and sausages. There is a new Turk Bank about 3 mins away on the main road to Catalkoy but Supreme Supermarket have a change bureau. Just past Supreme is a very good pharmacist who speaks English. There is a small water park and a Horseriding club close by as well. The Acupulco Hotel near Catalkoy will allow you to use their pool with waterslides and beach for around £5 each for the day.
Most of the nightlife, low key as it is, is in Kyrenia itself but there are some clubs offering disco's & live bands. If you get a copy of Cyprus Today paper the venues are advertised in there. Some of the local restaurants have entertainment on at least one night a week. All of the hotels will welcome you for food or drinks and most have entertainment on some nights in high season. There is the local market on Wednesdays, selling everything from clothes and shoes to locally produced olive oil and honey, fruit & veg as well. It is a 10 minute drive. There are a few 'craft' markets, one of the largest is at Chateau Lambrusa on Saturdays 10am-1pm. There are around 50 stalls selling home baked cakes, pies and preserves, second hand books, bric-a-brac, paintings etc. It has a lovely atmosphere and the bar is open for a beer or coffee. It's in Lapta, west of Kyrenia and a 35/40 minute drive. The others are advertised in Cyprus Today.
Booking notes
100 deposit on booking with the balance to be paid 8 weeks before arrival. A refundable deposit of £150 to be paid in case of breakages is also required. The price includes all electicity, water, weekly cleaning and change of bed linen, towels etc. A generous welcome pack of groceries to start your holiday is also included.

Having stayed at Villa Leni in September 2007, we enjoyed it so much that we have booked 2 weeks in June and 2 weeks in September this year. In our 11 years of staying in villas in North Cyprus, this is the one we enjoyed most. The house is the best equipped one we have ever stayed in and the most comfortable. We especially enjoyed the lovely chairs on the front patio where we had lunch and evening drinks. We can't wait to return and can recommend your home to everyone.
