Villa Kalmaro is a luxury 3 bedroom bungalow on a double sized plot with a large 11x6m pool. We built the villa to suit our family with 4 kids and have designed the villa and pool to be a place we can go to and chill out, letting the kids play in the pool all day long. The water park is along the road but it is hard to get the kids away from the pool. The villa is very comfortable and we have tried to make it a real home from home. Hotels seemed cramped and boring after spending a week or a fortnight at the villa. The area of Ayia Thekla is quiet and has no hotels to spoil the views. We are 500m from the shore and Cyprus for us, is a great place to bring a family. Couples can also come and chill out by the pool and you can easily pop into Ayia Napa for some great Cypriot food and local wine.

Notes on accommodation
Our villa is a great place for a family holiday or a quiet retreat. Each bedroom has remote control air conditioning / heating unit, central heating for chilly winter nights and large fitted wardrobes. Ayia Thekla is a much quieter and a more peaceful location so that you can enjoy peace and quiet as well as getting involved in the various activities that a resort like Ayai Napa can provide.

Accessibility
We created ramp for the front of the house re access for a wheelchair user client this year and it worked really well. Door openings within the villa are also sufficient. We can also organise a minibus pick up, to and from the airport.
Outside
The large garden is fully enclosed and very private and the pool is particularly large at 11m x 6m. The pool slopes from shallow to deeper. Tropical landscaped garden with a traditional Cypriot BBQ for outdoor dining. Off-road parking with gates. Garden furniture that includes a wooden table and 6 chairs and 6 poolside wooden sun loungers.
Coast/Beach
500m from the sea. 1km from secluded Ayia Thekla beach. 1km from Potamos harbour and local restaurants. 6km from famous Nissi Beach.
Golf
Cyprus has many beautiful golf courses which are mostly located on the west of the Island 1½ - 2 hours drive. The most famous is Aphrodite Hills near which is a 2 hour drive.
Skiing
In Cyprus, snow-skiing can be enjoyed in the Troodos Mountains from the beginning of January to the end of March. The highest point of the Troodos range is Mount Olympus. Mount Olympos is only 3km, from Troodos the hill resort, 12km from Platres hill resort, and about an hour's drive from the seaside town of Lemesos and the capital Lefkosia. The Cyprus Ski Club possesses four Ski lifts. Two of the lifts are installed on the North Face of Mount Olympus. One is 350m long and the other is 500m long. The other two ski-lifts are installed at ‘Sun Valley’ south of Olympus and each is 150m long.
Travel
To experience the real Cyprus a car is recommended. The nearest airport is Larnaca which is approx 40km (40 mins) by taxi. Pahos is 175km away. Airport transfers from Larnaca airport can be arranged as well as any other items required. We have a 7 seater car that you can rent with the villa.
Distances
5 mins drive away is Cyprus's biggest water park. 10 mins drive is the town of Ayia Napa with its numerous shops, entertainment and beaches. Protaras another popular family resort is also nearby. Paralimni is the main commercial centre offering all conveniences such as two huge supermarkets where you can stock up your fridge and freezer.
