The villa is surrounded by beautiful, well-maintained gardens with plenty of secluded sunbathing areas. Changeover day
Changeover days are flexible and we will endeavor to accommodate your requirements and fit in with your flight dates and times wherever possible. However, normal occupancy time is after 3pm arrival day, with vacation by 11am on day of departure.

Notes on accommodation
A travel cot, highchair and buggy are in the house and stairgates can be fitted by a local contractor at nominal cost. Back and front gardens are fitted with gates. Our management company can provide a Welcome Pack for you on arrival for £27 (coffee, tea, sugar, milk, loaf, ham, cheese, juice, butter, jam, cereals, beers). We can also arrange taxi transfers to and from Paphos airport for about Euros30 per single transfer (paid locally).
Outside
The high quality, mature garden setting of Iris Cottages reflects the standard set by Pafilia, winners of Jaguar and Mercedes awards for 'Best Cypriot Development and Property'. Number 17 is ideally located within the small development with dual aspect gardens for both morning and afternoon sunshine. We benefit from a patio that's shaded from around noon if it gets too hot to sit in the sun. The patio is fully equipped with quality table and chairs and large umbrella and a gas barbeque for al fresco dining. There are loungers and umbrellas by the 15m pool which is approximately 1m deep at the shallow end. In addition,there are outdoor poolside showers and also separate changing rooms with lockable showers and wc facilities, if required.
Coast/Beach
A 15 min stroll or a 2 min car ride and you are on the beach. The nearest beaches to the villa are by the Alexander the Great Hotel (c.1km) or there are several nice public beach areas in central Kato Paphos. Further afield, the Coral Bay beaches are a 10 minute car or bus ride away. Similarly, the harbour area in Kato Paphos, with its boats, restaurants, bars and cafes, is a 15 minute stroll (or a few mins by car, depending on the traffic of local promenaders along the coast road!).
Golf
Paphos boasts the 3 best golf courses on Cyprus, all within easy driving distance from Iris Cottages. We are a family of golfers and skiers and will be glad to give you the full details of whatever you need to know - just email us.
Skiing
Skiing in the Troodos with the Ski Club of Cyprus is great fun and then back down the mountains for an evening tipple by the pool in the sunset. Where else in the world can you do that!
Travel
Paphos airport is 10km from the villa - but there is little over-flying by aircraft. Transfers to the villa are normally by taxi and car hire can be arranged locally for those who want to venture further afield. Car hire is not necessary but will enable you to see more of the area and the island. We have private, off road parking, should you decide to hire a car.

Paphos harbour 1km. Kato Paphos centre with shops, etc. 1km. Kato Paphos beach 1km. Old Paphos 2km. Paphos town and market 2km. Nearest taverna (pub and grub) has been run in 1 minute 50 seconds - can you beat this?
Further details
Paphos is a friendly, attractive town with possibly more restaurants and tavernas per square metre than anywhere else you may have visited. A small local mini market is a 2 min stroll away and a large supermarket 5 mins further. If you are from the UK you will find it easy to travel around, as driving in Cyprus is on the left. Also like the UK, electricity is 240v with 13amp square 3-pin plugs, so no need for adaptors. In the villa we have put together a folder containing information about places to visit, together with our experiences of places we've visited, restaurants we've eaten in, pubs to try/not try, etc. We hope you find the accumulated comments of use and help during your visit. There's so much to do for all ages; swimming, windsurfing, banana boat riding, paragliding, glass bottomed boat trips, scuba diving (several qualified diving schools), golf, bowling, mountain hiking, mountain biking and even skiing and snowboarding in the Winter months. There are water parks, bird parks and animal sanctuaries, the aquarium, the old market and fish market, cinemas and theatre, museums and archaeological and historic sites, lots of shops and arcades, wineries to visit and even the odd nightclub and disco (if you are up to it) and plenty of places just to sit with a drink or coffee and watch the world go by. Walking is mainly on the level from the villa to the restaurants, sea and blue flag beaches - but you will encounter a few slopes to climb if you venture up into the old town - but the view is worth it.
Booking notes
Rental rates are in UK Pounds (Euros or $US at market exchange rates). A non-refundable booking deposit of 25% of total rental is payable at time of booking. Balance of rental is payable no later than 12 weeks prior to commencement of rental together with a refundable deposit of £200 against damage (returnable within 30 days of completion of rental less cost of any damage to the property, furnishings and a nominal laundry/cleaning charge of £60). Late bookings payable in full at time of booking.
