This spacious apartment is in a converted Carob warehouse and is situated in the conservation area of Kyrenia Harbour. Overlooking the harbour is the 12th century Crusader Castle, which is home to the oldest shipwreck in the world. In this central location it is possible for one to experience everyday life within the old Turkish Town. The area is rich with antiquities and there are many buildings that illustrate its diverse culture with mosques, churches and Roman remains within the local vicinity. It is a short walk to the town centre, with its variety of shops, restaurants, banks and cafes. The local cuisine may be sampled at many of the harbour restaurants or alternatively it is possible to purchase a local take-away and sit on the balcony to dine.

Notes on accommodation
An immersion heater heats the water. A welcome pack can be ordered for your arrival and placed in the refrigerator. This is an additional cost.
Accessibility
The apartment is level access via a lane at the rear of the building. Entrance is through wooden gates, short walk to a flight of four steps, with wooden handrails, which leads down to the entrance of the apartment. The apartment balcony is first floor facing the harbour. Arrangements can be made if required to have rugs and carpets temporarily removed for the duration for your stay.

Coast/Beach
There are numerous sandy coves along the coast including Turtle Beach famed for its loggerhead turtles. There are two scuba diving schools situated in the harbour that run various daily boat trips in the summer months. The local hotel is a five-minute walk away where a ticket may be purchased for a reasonable cost for a sun-bed and use of the fresh/sea water pools and access to the sea via a ladder/steps. Local beaches can be reached via taxi or by hiring a car.
Golf
The property is centrally located for easy walking access to the Town Centre with all the local restaurants, historical sites, churches, banks, taxi ranks, museums, Castle close by.
Travel
The nearest airport in the north is Ercan. The owner can arrange transfers with a local management company from Ercan and Larnaca in the south. These transfers are charged at the local taxi rate.
Further details
The local Kyrenia Five Finger mountain range is easily accessible by car and there are a variety of walks, which enable one to explore the other crusader castles. The flora and fauna are particularly colourful and some rare orchids can only be found in this part of the world.
The approximate temperatures in winter (November to March) - about 20°C. Electric radiators and blankets are supplied for chilly evenings. From March to May typical temperatures are 25°C and in the summer months (June to October) 30°C- 40°C. However, Kyrenia benefits from its coastal location and sea breezes.
