This modern villa was designed with the traditional Cypriot style in mind [high wood-beamed ceilings, carved wooden doors, furnishings and decor reflecting the Otterman style] using natural materials of stone, marble, wood and cane. Karakum is a sleepy seaside village, situated on the outskirts of Kyrenia 5 mins drive. The villa is set near the sea in 2 acres of grounds and affords plenty of privacy. It sleeps 8/10 people and has many terraces and shady areas in which to sit and enjoy the views. The secluded swimming pool is shallow at one end, ideal for small children and has a depth of 3 meters at the other end. There are many fruit trees in the orchards including lemons, oranges, grapefruit, figs, apples, grapes, plums, peaches, almonds and walnuts.

Coast/Beach
There are many sandy beaches along the coast of North Cyprus, with the nearest only 5 mins walking distance from the villa. The beautiful azure waters of the Mediterranean are perfect for swimming, water sports and diving. The turtle conservation project is a short drive away, where during August you can accompany the students and watch Loggerhead turtles hatching. Also you can drive 2 hours up to the "Pan Handle" and see wild donkeys, several miles of long sandy beaches and peace and quiet.
Golf
There is an International 18 hole new course in Esentepe which is about 15 mins by car from Karakum. This is truly a place to relax either by playing golf on the greens, enjoying the spa facilities or just having a quiet drink watching the sunset.
Travel
The villa is about 30 mins drive from nearest airport of Ercan. You can also come to Larnaca airport in the south side. May we suggest you look at the website Kelkoo.co.uk as they seem to search many companies. Transfer to the villa can be arranged at reasonable rates from either the airport in north Cyprus, Ercan, or Larnaca in the south. There is a car available to rent if you wish.
Distances
Karakum village in one mile away from Kyrenia/Girne. Nicosia/Lefkosa is 15 miles away.
Further details
Food shopping is available in Karakum, a small local shop is just walking distance from the villa. Biggest supermarket is 5 mins by car. The nearest bank and post office are in Kyrenia/Girne. From the villa is it easy to reach Kyrenia Harbour, St Hilarion Castle and the village of Bellapais. There are lots of restaurants in the Karakum area.
Booking notes
A deposit of 20% is taken per week of booking, the balace being due 6 weeks prior to your holiday. Cancellations are looked upon sympathetically and refunds will be given in full if the dates can be re-booked with another client.
A refundable bond of £100 will be required with the booking deposit to cover any breakages or damages.
