'Bellavista' lies on the edge of the traditional Turkish Cypriot village of Alsancak with a range of restaurants, a new supermarket and the coast within a few minutes drive. Local shops and restaurants are a short walk away and pleasant hill walks can also be made from the villa. 'Bellavista' is beautifully furnished and provides everything you could need for a relaxing holiday in the sun. The bedrooms and separate lounge are air conditioned, whilst the garden enjoys a large pool, alfresco dining area and first floor terrace with sea and mountain views.

Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible. Midweek flights from the UK are often cheaper than weekend flights, so we are happy to take bookings for whichever dates suit you best.

Towels and linen (except beach towels) are provided. Bathroom cleaning/linen changing takes place at the end of each week's stay. A welcome pack of fresh produce/wine/beer is provided free of charge. Hire of highchairs and cots can be arranged. |
Notes on accommodation
The double sofabed in the separate, air conditioned lounge will comfortably sleep one adult or 2 children. Bed linen for the sofabed is provided along with sufficient cutlery and crockery for 8 guests. The air conditioning in the lounge and bedrooms can also be used to provide heating during the cooler evenings of Spring and Autumn.

Outside
'Bellavista' has a large 10m x 5m overflow pool with Roman steps, a sun terrace with 6 sunbeds and 3 parasols, a poolside shower and a barbecue. In addition, there is a large patio with a granite-topped dining table and 8 dining chairs. This patio also has 2 wrought iron sunbeds to provide comfortable seating away from the sun. There is a first floor terrace with beautiful sea and mountain views accessed from the landing and master bedroom. It also has a granite-topped table and 4 chairs and is the perfect spot to enjoy a drink while the sun sets. To the rear of the property is a small patio area, a further area of garden and parking for 2 cars.
Coast/Beach
'Bellavista' is within a few minutes drive of the coast. There is a good choice of coves and beaches nearby, the largest of which are Escape and Mare Monte. Both beaches are safe and family-friendly with beach umbrellas and restaurant facilities. Scuba diving and other water sports are available at several locations, including Escape beach. Boat trips can be taken from Kyrenia. For day trips we would recommend the Karpas peninsula where the coast is undeveloped.
Golf
A new 18-hole course at Esentepe (half an hour's drive from the villa) opened in Spring 2007.
Travel
Flights to the local North Cyprus airport (Ercan) are available from all major UK airports with a transfer time to Alsancak of approx. 45 minutes. A greater choice of scheduled and charter flights is also available to Larnaca in Southern Cyprus with a transfer time of 90 minutes. Although there are cheap local bus and taxi services, we would recommend hiring a car for at least part of your stay. Please contact us for advice on booking flights, airport transfers and car hire.
Distances
The village of Alsancak has a large new supermarket and several good restaurants which are less than 5 minutes drive from 'Bellavista'. Local village shops are within 10 minutes walk. The picturesque port of Kyrenia with its Crusader castle and wide selection of shops and restaurants is 6km drive along the coast road. Local beauty spots such as Bellapais Abbey, St Hilarion castle and Karaman village are all within 20 minutes drive of the villa. The ancient capital city of Nicosia is 35km away.
Further details
There is a huge selection of restaurants in the area, many of which can be found along the coast road to Kyrenia. They offer food to suit all tastes from traditional Cypriot mezze to authentic curries and European cuisine. Credit cards are accepted in larger shops and restaurants but are not yet readily accepted in smaller outlets. Sterling is welcomed for all transactions and we would recommend taking sterling cash as the easiest form of payment. ATMs can be easily found along the coast road and there are branches of HSBC in Kyrenia and Nicosia. Local maps, guide books and a walking guide are provided for guests to use. Our English-speaking property managers are always available to answer any questions you may have during you stay.
Booking notes
A deposit of 20% of the total rental charge is payable on booking. The balance is payable 8 weeks prior to departure. Cancellation charges are as follows: up to 8 weeks before departure = deposit, up to 4 weeks before departure = 60%, less than 4 weeks before departure = 100%.
