This four bedroom villa was completed in 2008 located in a small cul-de-sac with four villas which is outside the small village of Lapta. Its elevated position enjoys panoramic sea and mountain views. The villa is furnished and built to a modern high standard. There is a spacious living room, kitchen and four bedrooms, all of which are en-suite and fully air-conditioned. One of its main feature is the galleried dining area which opens onto a terrace overlooking the large swimming pool. The spacious fully fitted kitchen comprises of electric hob and gas oven, with modern units, granite worktops and breakfast bar area.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds and based on an occupancy of up to 8 guests. Prices includes 25 per unit electric/day for 4 guests and 30 units of electric/day for 5-8 guests. Additional electricity used above that will be charged at £0.20 per unit and deducted from the deposit. A meter reading is taken at the start and finish of each rental period.

There is garden furniture including sun beds with mats, table and chairs with a outdoor stone built barbecue.
Accessibility
The villa has not been specially constructed or adapted for wheel chair use however, the down stairs bedroom with en-suite can facilitate a disabled person with easy access to ground floor living space, garden and pool.
Outside
The Villa has its own private swimming pool (8x4) with steps and ladder access, pool lighting and terraced landscaped garden with young fruit trees and a wide range of shrubs. There is large terrace surrounds the pool with patio accommodating 8 chairs and sun lounges. A large steel structured gazebo full paved, provides shelter from the sun also with a outdoor stone built barbecue next to gazebo. The villa stands within a large plot of garden areas enclosed by stone walls and double gates to give access to private driveway with parking for car.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is a 10 minutes drive and has family-friendly activities. Escape Beach is a private beach which has a restaurant and bars, lots of sun loungers and bean bags. There is a variety of water sports activities. Recently Escape Beach opened a outdoor club which is very chic and trendy.
Sunset beach is a family orientated beach which caters more to children with a variety of activities, playgrounds, water sports and etc.
In Lapta there is a water park which is ideal for children.
Golf
There is an 18 hole golf course, newly constructed 2007, approximately 25 miles from Lapta, and at Guzelhurt approximately 15 miles away, if interested please ask for details.
Travel
Ercan Airport is about 40 minutes drive from Lapta (all flights via Turkey), Larnaca about 80 minutes. Pick-ups can be arranged from either airport. Car hire, though not essential, but not recommended,public transport avaiable. Car hire companies usually offer a discount on airport pickups if you hire a car from them, and this can be arranged by our selves. Car hire is about £20 per day.
Distances
Lapta is a 20 mins drive from Kyrenia and less than an hour from Lefkosa (Nicosia). The beautiful village of Bellapais with its Abbey and stunning views of Kyrenia is a 30 min drive as is the mountain castle ruins of St Hilarion. The walled city of Gazimagusa to the East is about 1.5 hours, with medieval architecture and shops selling copies of famous brand goods, and the sandy beaches to be found in this area are magnificent.
Further details
Driving in Cyprus is easy, lefthand side drive as in the UK and the roads away from the major towns are relatively quiet. As well as Turkish Lira, most restaurants, bars and shops accept sterling as a currency, giving a far better exchange rate than you could buy Turkish Lira at home. If you need to change travellers cheques or use ATMs, these can be found in Kyrenia (Girne) We use HSBC who have english speaking assisstants. The area around Kyrenia has some great restaurants to suit all tastes. The harbour in Kyrenia is beautiful with lots of waterfront bars and restaurants to choose from, whilst the road from Lapta to Kyrenia has a vast number of restaurants and top class hotels, all serving great food. Recent political changes mean that on a visit to Nicosia (Lefkosa) you can now pass through the Green Line to the Greek side for the first time since 1974; you will need your passport and Euros to spend in the south.
Climate: Northern Cyprus is blessed with the most pleasing climate in all of Europe. Winters are mild and rarely extend beyond February, and with over 300 days of sunshine a year, the temperatures can reach into the 70s well into December, and as early as February. In April and May, North Cyprus is at its most beautiful, with fields of wild flowers in full bloom and the weather is not unlike that of a good English summer. June, July and August are the hottest months and ideal for sun worshippers.

Please contact owner to check availability. A non-returnable 20% deposit is payable within 7 days to secure booking and the full balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival. Payment by personal cheque or bank transfer only. Confirmation of booking will be sent by email and keys will be sent to you one week prior to departure. There is a £200 breakage bond payable and this will be returned provided no damage has occurred and on the return of the keys within one week of your return.

The restaurant near the villa and at the harbour were brilliant,especially the restaurant at Bellapasis Abbey. We had a wonderful time r elaxing and sight seeing.

I live in South Liverpool, England not far from where John Lennon and George Harisson once lived. I live with my husband, daughter and our pet dog Buster. My husband and I both work and holiday in England, we love the lake District and Northern Cyprus. Northern Cyprus, Lapta, reminds us of the lake district without the rain, but with lots of sunshine.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Our villa is situated in a quite Cul-de-sac,with a short car ride to the main road or a 10 minute walk. Whereby there is access to bars restaurants, shops and supermarkets, this is what the Brits who live in this area, call the Lapta Strip. There are local beaches nearby, we would recommend escape beach,which has all facilities and access to beautiful white sands and blue sea. You can swim out to a secure raft in the sea and enjoy sunbathing and swimming in the Med. The local people are very friendly and helpful. We can recommend places to visit, drink and eat. Plus help is at hand from our friend and property manager Afzal.
Unique benefits of the property
The Villa is detached and has its own garden with a private drive way and swimming pool. We have been complimented on the panoramic views of the mountains and the Med. The style of the the villa puts me in mind of the Art Deco period. It is has 4 bedrooms all en-suite. The Villa has tiled floors throughout, with a marble sweeping staircase to the first floor. From the terrace you can take in the views of the Med and on a clear day your can see the mountains of Turkey. Most of the Villas nearby are owned by British people who are very friendly. The area is quiet and relaxing but within easy reach of all amenities and historical towns.
