Suitable for couples and families who want outstanding accommodation away from the hustle and bustle of the main resorts. This is an excellent location for exploring the rest of the island - within half an hour you can be soaking up the sun on stunning Nissi Beach, discovering one of the many sites of cultural interest or having fun at a water park.

This apartment is ideal for a long stay during the winter months to escape the cold wet British weather. We are therefore very happy to discuss prices for longer lets. Notes on accommodation
Heating and air-conditioning in all rooms, this 1st floor apartment, access via lift or stairs is accessed via an intercom system therefore suitable for children with a fully enclosed balcony overlooking the tennis court and pool. The communal pool is a great environment for children with a babies pool and shallow end, all enclosed in the complex with electric gates. There are maps and guide books and a welcome folder packed with local information. This complex is largely considered to be one of the finest on the island.
Accessibility
The complex is suitable for wheelchairs. There is a lift to the apartment and the entrance doors are wide enough. There are disabled toilets in the block and by the poolside.
Outside
The pool-view balcony is furnished with Rattan table and 6 chairs. The apartment is set in well maintained gardens and around the lovely shared swimming pool loungers and sun umbrellas are available. The resort is very quiet and you will often have the pool area to yourself. There is allocated parking for each apartment in the shade.
Golf
Golf is available at the famous Aphrodite Hills Golf Club which is about a drive of an hour and a half away.
Skiing
Skiing is available in the Troodos Mountains during January and February. Equipment can be hired easily and is reasonably priced.
Travel
The apartment is approx 20 minutes from Larnaca airport (a straightforward journey). Cars can be hired from the airport or we can also arrange a private pick-up at a cost of £20. EasyJet now fly to Larnaca so look for great deals. Also try Monarch and Thomsonfly. Paphos airport is an alternative and is approx 1-2 hours away. Car hire is recommended.
Distances
Pyla village is a 3 minute walk. Seafront and Dhekelia Road 5 minutes by car. Larnaca 15 minutes by car. Ayia Napa, Nissi beach and water park 30 minutes. Oroklini 5 minutes drive. Large supermarkets available 10 minutes drive, local supermarket within short walk.
Further details
There are a number of excellent local restaurants serving Cypriot specialities and 'meze' dishes which are incredibly good value. Details of restaurants are available in a folder within the apartment, along with general tourist information.

About the owner
Dave and I live on the outskirts of Shirley, near Solihull. We have run our own businesses for the last 25 years and have 3 children aged from 13 to 21. We don't manage to get away as a family too often but when we do we need somewhere that suits everyone. Cyprus is perfect for that and our beautiful apartment has everything we need in a brilliant location. We really look forward to our precious time away when we can recharge the batteries. It's a real 'home away from home' only better because everything's brand new!

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We found Pyla village to be an ideal spot to see all the best Cyprus has to offer. We love the fact that we're close to the beaches, the shops and restaurants and even the Troodos mountains are only an hours drive - or Nicosia about 45 minutes, but we're in a quiet relaxing village with everything we need. At night we like to explore and go for a traditional meze or try the Turkish cuisine , there's plenty of choice in the local villages - but also like to simply cater for ourselves and sit on the balcony soaking up the evening sun and the peace, while the children play tennis or make the most of the pool, which we've never seen crowded.
Unique benefits of the property
We can fly from Birmingham which is ideal for us - but there's plenty of options now that the low cost airlines go to Larnaca and Paphos - sometimes we have come out for just 4 nights to have a quick break in the sun. Pyla is only 20 minutes from Larnaca airport and we can arrange for you to be collected by a friend or have a rental car waiting. The complex is so peaceful and of such a high standard - a real pleasure to be there. Everything you need is right there but at the same time you are not in a busy resort - just a quiet village a few miles from the sea.
