The detached private villa Hieros Kepos in the village of Koloni, a beautiful part of Paphos, offering the tourist quiet and relaxed tranquillity but having all the local atmosphere and local culture thrown in. Ideally located, being only a short walk into the village of Geroskipou where you can get the local bus service, various shops, supermarket, banks, post office, and taverns. The villa has full air-conditioning and heating units to all rooms included in the tariff. Accommodation is in 3 large double bedrooms having king sized beds, all tastefully furnished and all have full en-suite facilities, sleeping up to 6 persons. Outside there is a private gas heated swimming pool and hot tub with sunbeds and parasols for you to relax and enjoy the Cyprus sunshine. A gas bbq and charcoal bbq also provided. Inside is the comfortable open plan lounge and dining areas with sky TV, 42" plasma TV, DVD, CD player with good selction of books, games and films. The villa has free Wifi access.

Notes on accommodation
Air conditioning is included in the tariff. The private villa swimming pool carries a daily charge for gas supply should you require the pool heated. A large veranda off the open plan lounge has a swing hammock offering great sea views to relax those evenings away. We provide a tourist information booklet on the best places to visit and a recommended visitors diary provided by previous guests. Car hire is not essential as the property is within walking distance to Geroskipou shops, banks and local bus service, but is advisable to visit the many tourist attractions and historic places that Cyprus has to offer the visiting tourist.
Accessibility
The villa entrance is on the flat level but please note that all bedrooms are on the villas first floor level.
Outside
The villa is South facing and has sunshine all day long with fantastic sunsets in the evening.
Landscaped gardens to the front, side and rear of the property with the front garden and side garden having fruit trees and a herb garden to the side of the kitchen. Great south facing sea views at the rear of the villa. Two sets of patio doors lead from the lounge to the covered veranda having a framed swing hammock overlooking the private 8 x 4 gas heated swimming pool and hot tub. There is an outside pool shower. The exterior grounds has a patio table, chairs and parasols, six sunbeds with side tables. A mobile gas BBQ and the traditional Cyprus charcoal BBQ. Uninterrupted sea views down over the countryside.
Coast/Beach
Geroskipou beach, close to Paphos seafront, is approximately 4 minutes drive or a gentle 30 minutes walk from the villa through the orange and lemon groves lane leading to the sea. Paphos seafront and tourist resort is approximately 15 minutes drive from the villa. Coral Bay resort is 25 minutes drive from the villa.
Golf
Just a few minutes walk, a 5 minute drive is the new Nick Faldo designed golf course "Elea Estate Golf Club" - The Par 71 golf course commands a striking location above the shimmering Mediterranean Sea and has been meticulously crafted through dramatic landscape, featuring imposing weathered outcrops of limestone that offer a unique character across the course.
Aphrodite Hills - Par 71 - 6,855 yards is a superb golf club, built to PGA championship standard. The course is built on two plateaux, separated by a dramatic ravine and enjoys spectacular views of the sea and coast. Situated just 20 minutes from the villa.
Secret Valley - Par 72 - 6,737 yards situated in a scenic valley just 20 minutes from the villa. The golf course was opened in 1996 and was designed to be a PGA championship standard course. The fairways are surrounded by mature trees and dramatic rock formations. The rustic clubhouse has a welcoming atmosphere.
Tsada - Minthis Hills are 40 minutes from the villa.
Skiing
Troodos mountains provide excellent winter skiing and snow boarding facilities with some fantastic panaromic summer walks. The Troodos mountain region is approximately fifty minutes drive from the villa Hieros Kepos.
Travel
Paphos International airport is approximately 12k, a 15 minutes drive from the villa. Larnaca International airport is approximately 100k, a 55 minutes drive from the villa. Car hire is recommended and can be arranged this for you with free airport transfers. Nearest sea port is in Limassol, some 35 minutes drive from the villa.
Distances
Geroskipou and its five domed historic church is 4 minute drive.
Paphos seafront, Roman mosaics, harbour, castle and Tombs of the Kings are 15 minutes drive from the villa. Coral Bay resort is 25 minutes drive from the villa. The National park of Akamas peninsula where you find turtles and Cyprus wild life is approximately 30 minutes drive from the villa.

The villa is ideally situated for all local amenities of shops, bakers, post office, banks and tavernas, all within walking distance of the villa.

When you book your car hire through us, we will arrange FREE airport transfers to and from the villa. Car Hire payment is made on arrival into Cyprus, to the car rental company "Trust & Joyride Car Hire of Paphos".

Why the owner chose a home in this location
In the year 2001 we decided that Paphos was the place to have built to our specifications a holiday villa, including a private heated swimming pool and deluxe hot tub. The South facing villa has great sea views with spectacular sunsets and was completed in March 2004. The quiet location of our villa is in the small village of Koloni just a short walk into the larger village of Geroskipou where the Turkish/Cypriot delight is made and only a few minutes drive into Paphos harbour and seafront location.
Unique benefits of the property
We love the location of our villa which, because of it is South facing, gets sunshine all day long and has superb sunset views. The location is very restful and private with inspiring views over the sea and surrounding countryside landscape, yet within easy access to all the tourist places. When staying here in the villa Hieros Kepos, you can put on your shorts first thing in the morning, have breakfast on the sunshine terrace, then be in the private heated swimming pool having your first swim of the day. Then relax again enjoying the fantastic panoramic views to the sea.
