Managed by a resident English manager has a good supply of linen and towels (not beach towels). The villa will prepared prior to the letting. Cleaning service can be supplied during the holiday at an extra cost or depending on the duration of the letting.

Notes on accommodation
This villa would be ideal for a long term letting as it has all the facilities of home. Telephone and internet connections can easily be arranged. The air conditioning converts to a heating system in the cooler months. There is a private car parking place in front of the villa.

Accessibility
This villa has a number of outside steps up to the entrance and garden and would not be suitable for people with mobility problems or small active children.

Large outside gardens with patio furniture and barbecue supplied. There is a covered area at the rear and a private patio outside the main bedroom overlooking Pissouri Bay.

Coast/Beach
The coastline in and around Pissouri has numerous picturesque bays, many quiet and secluded, with shallow waters ideal for safe bathing and water sports. There are many beach bars and restaurants along the coastline and Pissouri Bay serving a wide variety of cuisines. Kourian is a long sandy beach where you can drive on too in a car on and also has a couple of beach tavernas.

Golf
Riyal House is situated within a short drive of two of Cyprus's best golf courses midway between Pissouri and Paphos. Aphrodite Hills and Secret Valley are both championship golf courses and Aphrodite Hills boasts its own on site Intercontinental Hotel.

Travel
Paphos airport is 20 minutes motorway drive,approximately 30Km. Use of a car is recommended to explore and access many of the places of interest in the area. There is a competitively priced car rental firm in the Pissouri area which can be arranged for each tenant. The Akamas Nature Reserve north of Paphos is well worth a visit, further north are the villages of Latsi and Polis all having a variety of great fish restaurants.

Distances
Pissouri Vilage is 3km from the villa and is equidistant from Paphos Town and Limassol approx 34km. The Troodos Mountains with wonderful scenery are approximately 50 mins with many interesting villages, such as Omodos en route and skiing opportunities in the winter months. Among many places of historical interest close to Pissouri is Kourian, within 10km with it's well preserved mosaics, amphitheatre and excavations. Paphos town is an old heritage site with some. wonderful archaeological sites

Further details
Pissouri Village has all the necessary shopping and banking facilities needed with other smaller local supply services also in Pissouri Bay. There is a traditional 'Cyprus Night' every Wednesday at the village square or on Fridays at the beach area. Both the Bay and Village have a wide variety of restaurants serving local and international cuisine in beautiful settings whilst still maintaining it's village atmosphere and traditions. Limassol is the second largest town on the south part of the island and only 25 mins by car on the motorway. This also offers large supermarkets, tourist shopping malls, beaches, a water park and lots of places of interest.

Booking notes
Interested parties should email their inquiries to the owner. A booking deposit of 20% is required to secure a booking, the balance must be paid six weeks before the holiday. The deposit is not refundable if a cancellation is made within 28 days of arrival. Riyal House is available from 3pm on the day of arrival to 11 am on the day of departure.

Guest comments
This villa has only been rented a couple of times and mostly to relatives of the owner apart from a lovely couple John and Eunice from Cheshire, England took an 18 month lease on Riyal House and wanted the opportunity to buy the house as they just loved the area unfortunately the owner did not want to part with their beautiful home.

Happy days in Pissouri

About the owner
My husband and I worked in the Middle East and stopped off in Cyprus for a holiday in 1989. We fell in love with the island, it has a rich past with a compelling history, the mountain magic up in the Troodos and a wonderful climate with nine months of summer and three months 'springtime' We decided to look around for a 'little place' and found the idyllic spot in Pissouri. This meant spending sometime supervising the building of our villa 'Riyal House' where we retired too in 1996. We made life long friends among the local people and also have some wonderful neighbors from many different parts of the world whose company we enjoy on the many holidays we have had at our villa since our return to Ireland in 2002.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Having toured the island in search of a special place we always returned to Pissouri which is a small quiet picturesque village within easy reach of the motorway Paphos 34km or Limassol 34km. The village is 2 miles inland from the sandy/pepple beach and is renowned for its pretty village square which is surrounded by Tavernas all of which extend a warm welcome to visitors and a great bonus is the convenience to Paphos International airport only 20 minutes away. We choose the beach area to build our villa as the views from the hill side were spectacular,less the ten minutes walk from a small blue flag beach and ten minutes drive to the village.

Unique benefits of the property
This is a detached villa situated in a quiet complex on the side of a hill with panoramic views of the bay. It is an established area with many permanent European residents. Furnishings and decor are of a high standard,the villa has dual air conditioning which also supplies heat in the low season. There are cultivated gardens and two outside patio areas, one is accessed from the main bedroom and a oak pergola covered patio at the back of the house with an outside shower and barbecue facilities.
