Zeytin Villa is situated in a lovely peaceful location at the foot of a majestic mountain range with sea views and impressive mountain views. The ground floor is open plan with a large air conditioned lounge, dining room seating 8 and fitted kitchen. Lounge has comfortable seating. There is a fully equipped kitchen. A twin bedroom and a shower/utility room are accessed from the entrance hall. A wide, curving staircase leads to the first floor which has a master bedroom with en suite facilities and a second twin bedroom with balcony. A gated entrance leads to a parking area on the right hand side of the villa suitable for three cars. Sliding doors lead from the lounge and dining room to a large patio area and pool. The patio is furnished with a table, chairs and loungers and a brick built barbecue. Access into the 8x4 metre swimming pool is via steps at the 1.1m shallow end and a ladder at the 1.7m deep end. There is also a terrace across the front of the villa.

Notes on accommodation
Air conditioning all through the villa to keep it comfortable. Air con units convert to fan heaters for cooler weather. Pedestal fans also provided.

Accessibility
Villa's ground floor is split level via steps. Master bedroom and one twin bedroom are accessed via wide, curved staircase. Patio is large and flat. Access to front door via gravel path and steps.
Outside
Very large patio area with sun loungers, sun umbrella plus dining table and chairs for outdoor eating. Private pool for sole use of guests. The 8x4 metre swimming pool is accessed via steps at the 1.1m shallow end and a ladder at the 1.7m deep end. Pool is cleaned every week. Brick built barbecue is next to the patio.
Coast/Beach
A few minutes walk down the lane between the olive groves takes you to the main road to Lapta and Kyrenia along which there are frequent buses and dolmus. There are quiet local beaches just a few minutes drive away. A little further away (10 minutes' drive) are the fabulous managed beaches such as Sunset, Camelot and Escape with their many facilities such as water sports, boat rides, diving, jet skis etc. In the mountains para-gliding is available.
Golf
To the east of Kyrenia is an 18 hole international standard golf course.
Travel
Flights go from Heathrow and Stansted to Ercan airport in North Cyprus (Pegasus Airlines & others) or you can fly from various UK airports to Larnaca & Paphos in the south (various budget & scheduled airlines) and get a taxi north. Driving time from Ercan airport is approx 1 hour; from Larnaca approx 2.5 hours. Car hire is recommended and can be arranged via the owners.
Distances
Distance to Village shop is 10 minutes' walk up hill. To supermarket and bank with hole-in-the-wall cash machine is 10 minutes' drive.
To Kyrenia with harbour side restaurants, variety of shops, museum is 30 minutes' drive. There are many bars & restaurants locally within a few minutes' drive offering a variety of different cuisine.
Further details
A short walk uphill takes you to the village shop/café which sells freshly baked bread and all other groceries. You can also catch the dolmus from here or just pop in for a meal.
There are many local attractions – St. Hilarion castle on the mountain top; Bellapais Abbey; Kyrenia Castle in the harbour with a shipwreck dating from 300 BC; Merchants Inn at Nicosia; Roman ruins at Solis; colourful local markets and further afield Othello Towers at Famagusta. To the east of Kyrenia is an 18 hole international standard golf course. For bird watchers the mountain is home to a range of birds.

About the owner
We absolutely adore Zeytin Villa and the wonderful family holidays that we have enjoyed there. We love the peace and tranquility of sitting under the 100 year old olive tree and gazing across the fields to the sea, enjoying family meals out on the patio, playing ball games in the pool with our kids. At night we love to lie on the sun loungers and gaze at the skies which are are a blanket of stars. There is a huge choice of places to eat out or we can relax on the patio with home cooked food. The historical sites are fascinating to explore and St. Hilarion castle perched high on the mountain is awe inspiring, as is the architecture of Bellapais Abbey. Our kids have learnt to scuba dive and we spend many happy hours on the beach. The charming harbour in Kyrenia is also a favourite.

We fell in love with the location of Zeytin Villa, set at the foot of a majestic mountain with a charming village nearby and sea views too - it has everything we wanted.
We were drawn to the quiet setting away from the crowds so that we could enjoy peace and privacy.
If we want to get to larger shops, restaurants, beaches they are only a short drive away.
