This property is situated on the eastern plateau of Aphrodite Hills Resort where the villas are built to a low density in a very attractive natural setting. It takes 15 minutes to drive here from the airport. The resort offers a golf course, tennis courts, horse riding, a spa, a five star hotel and a village centre with shops, a pub, ATM, a variety of restaurants and a children's play area. Nearby villages of Kouklia, Pissouri and Mandria offer a wide variety of tavernas and restaurants. Our management company is on site to welcome you and offer any help you may need. They deal with cleaning and laundry, pool maintenance and gardening services, which are all included in the rental. The villa has a very private garden with large outdoor shaded sitting area with gas fired Weber barbecue, grassed and paved areas, all overlooking a conservation area which leads down to the sea. It is tastefully furnished, well maintained and all rooms have air-conditioning units.

Notes on accommodation
Air-conditioning units also provide heat. Water is heated by solar panels with an immersion heater as a back up. There is a very basic pushchair. There are two hairdryers and a safe. Plenty of books, some jigsaw puzzles and games. Inflatable pool toys.
Accessibility
Sorry this is not suitable for wheelchair access as there is no ground floor shower room.
Outside
Outside there is a large shaded area with teak table and chairs. There is an ample supply of sun loungers and at a lower level of the garden, a terrace with pergola and hanging chair which looks down the valley to the sea. The mature gardens have paved and grassed areas and there is a Weber gas fired kettle barbecue. There is a 10 x 5m pool which goes from 1 - 1.4m depth and this has an infinity edge. The water overflows from the main pool into a smaller pool, 5m x 1.4m with water approximately 30cm deep. These pools are for the exclusive use of the residents of the villa. The garden is not overlooked. As you sit outside, you may be lucky enough to see the goats wandering over the hillside opposite - listen for the gentle sound of their bells to alert you that they are about!
Coast/Beach
Aphrodite Hills has a pebble beach with sun loungers and a cafe serving drinks and snacks. This is a five minute car ride plus a five minute walk away. Pissouri has a sandy beach with cafe facilities plus sun loungers and umbrellas to hire. It takes 15 minutes to drive there.
Golf
Aphrodite Hills golf club house is a five minute drive from the villa. It has an 18 hole championship course which is situated entirely within the resort and also offers a three hole academy course, driving range, pitch and put practice greens and employs three golf professionals. Secret Valley golf course is about ten minutes drive away and Tsada about thirty minutes drive. Elea golf course, about 15 minutes drive away, opened in the autumn 2010. Horse riding is available on site.
Travel
It takes 15 minutes to get to or from Paphos airport and Larnaca airport is a 1 hour and 15 minute drive away. We consider car hire to be essential although the village, hotel and golf club can be reached in a 35 minute walk.
Distances
Paphos is 30 minutes drive away and it takes about 40 minutes to get to Limassol
Further details
There is a well stocked small supermarket on site and other local shops in nearby villages, details of which are provided in the villa. There are plenty of tavernas and restaurants both on site and in the locality and again there is information on these in the villa. Cash is available from an ATM in the village centre and a bank is open for limited hours. The spa offers treatments, has a gym, hairdresser and open air pool and jacuzzi. There are tennis courts available to hire. It is a good area for walking and bird watching.
Booking notes
Please contact the owners for bookings. A 20% deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance is to be paid no later than eight weeks before commencement of the holiday. At the same time a deposit of £250 is required to cover possible damage. This is fully refundable.

About the owner
My husband and I are both retired and enjoy spending spring and autumn in Cyprus, returning to the UK for Christmas and for the summer. The villa is furnished and equipped as our home. Our children love to come and stay with our grandchildren who are all aged under seven and we enjoy entertaining our friends here.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We were looking for a holiday home that was not a long haul flight from the UK and would enable us to play golf and enjoy outdoor activities, such as walking, in extremely pleasant weather. This site appealed to us because we have a completely open aspect at the rear of the property with outstanding views and as Aphrodite Hills has a very low density of housing, we have great privacy from the properties on either side of us. The rear of the house and the garden enjoy sun all day. The location is very quiet.
