Hilarion Court has been built to an extremely high standard with cavity wall insulation, double glazing, gas central heating for the cooler months, air-conditioning for the warmer ones. The rooms are spacious, the kitchens well fitted, the showers have good water pressure, the beds are comfortable and the sheets are high quality cotton. Plenty of wardrobe space. The property has balconies off the living room and the main bedroom. Wonderful, inspirational views from almost every window. The landscaped gardens and the two overflow pools are maintained by professional contractors. Whilst only completed in 2009, the gardens have become established, blending the development into the mountainside. The majority of the properties are occupied by ex-pat residents and local professional people who live there all year round. Very comfortable for full time living and ideal for longer Winter letting. This apartment is offered as a fully furnished, self catering holiday letting.

Notes on accommodation
The properties all benefit from gas central heating with radiators in all bedrooms and living rooms, so they are suitable for longer term Winter lets. The properties are not suitable for toddlers/younger children as there are many steps, balconies etc where it would be difficult to fit stair gates.

Accessibility
Hilarion Court is built on a hillside with traditionally narrow walkways and landscaped gardens. There are several steps between the car parking areas and the properties so not suitable for wheelchair users.

Outside
We provide several sets of teak garden furniture (tables, benches, large sun umbrellas) for the use of our guests. There are also a large number of sun loungers, deck chairs and directors chair. There are two overflow swimming pools for the shared use of all of the residents at Hilarion Court. There are several communal car parking areas.

Coast/Beach
There are several very good beaches, some only 15 mins drive away. Some are very sophisticated with bars, wireless internet, changing rooms etc. Others are completely undeveloped. Many of the beaches are private and belong to hotels nearby, but are open to day visitors for a fee. Others are free to the public. Try Escape Beach, Kervansary Beach, Alagadi (Turtle) Beach. The beaches on the pan handle (Karpas) are unspoilt, stunning golden beaches but they are several hours drive away.

Travel
Fly to Ercan (the airport on the Northern Cyprus side), 45 minutes transfer by car. Or fly to Larnaca (the closest airport on the Southern side), approx 90 mins transfer. We can recommend an experienced taxi driver who can transfer you over the border and help you with the minimal formalities of this. A rental car is advisable. There is plenty of car parking available.

Distances
Karmi (Karaman) - 5 mins walk. Supermarket (choice of several) - 10 mins drive. Beach - 15 mins drive. Kyrenia (Girne) - 20 minutes drive - ancient harbour, town, castle, restaurant, bars, casinos.

Further details
A wonderful opportunity to visit the unspoilt Northern side of Cyprus. Fantastic dramatic scenery, historical sites, wonderful climate, friendly Turkish Cypriot locals and a large ex pat/British community. The local currency is Turkish Lira, so Northern Cyprus is excellent value for money as the exchange rate has not suffered as badly as it has against the Euros. The restaurants serve excellent food and are extremely good value for money. There are several large local supermarkets stocking a wide variety of produce. Hilarion Court is very peaceful, and many who visit there are so relaxed that they have no desire to leave the development. For those who prefer a more active holiday, there is plenty to do and see... Visit ancient sites - St Hilarion Castle – thought to date back to the late 11th century, a fortified castle. Kyrenia Castle – largely dating back to 13th Century, but built on the site of a Byzantine Castle of the 7th Century AD. Bellapais Abbey – beautiful 14th century Lusignan abbey. Salamis – Ancient Roman City – spectacular architectural site with extensive well preserved ruins. Visit unspoilt Cyprus - there are many footpaths in the Kyrenia mountains or visit the very unspoilt Karpaz peninsula for beautiful natural scenery. Boat trip - there are many options on offer if you visit Kyrenia harbour, for day trips on traditional Turkish Gulet wooden boats. Many will take you to secluded bays for a dip in the sea and lunch. Go karting - there are several excellent go karting facility in Northern Cyprus. Scuba diving - novice dives, experienced dives, PADI courses, wreck dives... and much more! Jeep Safari - tour the mountain tracks by jeep. Paragliding - very popular activity in Northern Cyprus and paragliders are often seen around the Kyrenia mountains close to Hilarion Court.

Booking notes
A 20% non returnable deposit on booking. Balance payable 6 weeks in advance. In addition there is a £150 refundable deposit taken against breakages, damage, losses or extra cleaning. This will be returned to you 14 days after the end of your holiday, if there are no such incidences. If the holiday is cancelled within 6 weeks of the booking date, a refund will only be made if we are able to rebook the property at the same cost. Payment can be made by personal cheque drawn on a UK bank.

Guest comments
Stayed at Hilarion Court. How wonderful. The facilities are great. Very well appointed kitchens. Extremely clean and very modern. Owners have been very thoughtful about guests needs. There are two swimming pools very are kept immaculately clean and plenty of sunloungers to use, plus table and chairs for guests to use by the pools. Even though you are up a mountainside there are plenty facilities for wining and dining or just going to the local pubs. Shops, supermarkets (10 mins away in car) carry all produce and goods just like being in uk, so need to worry about feeding yourselves (if you want to). Very pleasantly surprised. We will be definitely return. (Pam and Duggan, Alderley Edge).
We very much enjoyed our weeks holiday in Cyprus last July, staying in Apartment 6a Hilarion Court.The apartment was extremely well equipped,
Tremendous panoramic views, well tended gardens, two large swimming pools.extensive patio areas, made for a very relaxing holiday. Grey's Lancs.
