Protaras is a 15-20 minute stroll along ocean side the new coastal footpath / boardwalk.

Notes on accommodation
This new, luxury villa is not to be missed. The interior is stylishly decorated in neutral and co-ordinated tones, with stunning luxury chocolate rosewood and leather furniture throughout. Silent, refreshing air-conditioning and ceiling fans in every room. The spacious and airy, open-plan living and dining area, where you can dine with family and friends or relax to some music or a movie on the 32" LCD TV, has patio doors that open onto the private heated pool and garden area for swimming, sunbathing, alfresco dining and firing up the BBQ. The master bedroom has another DVD player so you can relax in complete peace. We have 2 kids ourselves, so know what you need to make your holiday as carefree as possible if you have young children. Stair gates top and bottom, cot, high chair, nightlight, plastic cutlery / plates and plug safety covers are all provided. The front gates can be bolted so that small children will not be able to run out into the street or go walkabout.
Outside
Villa Athena has one of the sunniest pools on Crystal Lagoon, so you can soak up the rays throughout the day from breakfast to late afternoon. With 4 very comfortable sun loungers, parasols and dining for 6, there's no need to leave the pool area at all. The pool toys will have kids young and old playing for hours - diving rings, noodles, large octopus, masks and snorkels, balls. The top of the range luxury 3-burner gas BBQ means you can grill up a delicious feast for everyone, anytime. The pool, which is graded so little kids can touch the bottom at the shallow end, can be heated. To reduce your heating costs, we've provided optional 'Solar Sun Rings', which will significantly reduce your heating costs (Oct-Apr). For those lazy days on the beach, there's a cool box on wheels, so you can easily take your picnic and refreshing drinks with you. We've also provided a simple-to-erect beach shelter to protect little ones from the midday sun on the beach if there are no umbrellas available.
Travel
Flights to Larnaca are available from most UK airports, including the recently announced Easyjet route from Gatwick. Car hire is not essential as all amenities and beaches are within walking distance (local buses or taxis are plentiful too), and there are plenty of car hire offices in Pernera if you prefer to travel further afield. Larnaca International airport is 60km or 40 minutes. Transfer from Larnaca can be arranged and costs 45 euros approx.
Distances
Located in the heart of Pernera with shops, bars, restaurants and hire services on your doorstep and just 2 minutes walk from sheltered golden sand beaches. The town has a fishing harbor and an abundance of character. Retreat from heat in the stunning Troodos Mountains - refreshing in the summer has snow-capped in the winter - just under 2 hours away. From Blue Flag beaches to secluded coves, basket-weaving villages to the ghost town of Farmagusta, this region is really the hidden gem of Cyprus.

It is hard to find a better location to enjoy what are arguably the best child-safe, golden sandy beaches in Southern Cyprus. Athena Villa is 150m from both Pernera and Louma Beaches, where you can choose from a variety of water sports including jet-ski, ride-on-banana, pedalo, sailing and para. Great snorkeling can be had here, too.
You are moments from excellent family restaurants, beach bars and tavernas. Pernera is now truly part of Protaras, with the center of Protaras just a 15-20 minute stroll, day or night, (or 5 mins by car / taxi) from Pernera along the brand new floodlit oceanside boardwalk / coastal path, Which passes beautiful beaches and coves and brand new restaurants with complementary swimming pools and sunbathing areas with panoramic ocean views. Just grab the CoolBox and beach towels and choose where you'll spend your day, or listen to the waves lapping next to you as you take a romantic moonlit stroll out to dine by the sea or enjoy the gold bars Livelier nightly spectacular Dancing Waters and Light Show in Protaras.
Protaras Water Park, excellent for smaller children, is a short walk away, and the Ocean Aquarium just 5 minutes by car / taxi. Try your hand at mini golf in Protaras, or horse riding from nearby Moonshine Ranch. For the little ones, there are numerous fun mini parks with various rides and fun games.
Enjoy glass-bottom boat trips, white-knuckle rib rides and fishing trips from the harbor in Pernera, or take a sightseeing boat trip to the "Ghost Town" of Famagusta.

A 25% deposit required on booking, and full payment 6 weeks before holiday. Security deposit of £ 150 required, refunded within 2 weeks of departure subject to satisfactory property inspection. Pool heating is available at the cost of gas fills - around 150 euros per fill and lasts around a week.
