The village of Pyla is one of the few places in Cyprus that still has its original Turkish and Greek Cypriot communities living together in harmony after the partition. So, a visit to this peaceful and charming village really will give you a feel for what life was like in Cyprus before the Turkish invasion. Although a small village there is plenty to see and to do. Visitors particularly enjoy taking a look at the tower in the central square, local churches, cafes and shops. The local beach is also nearby and offers a range of water sports and amenities. Pyla is also popular with hikers, cyclists and nature lovers due to its proximity to a local pine forest. You can also take a trip over the border into Northern Cyprus from the village.

Notes on accommodation
There is heating and air-conditioning in all rooms. There is a view of the pool and tennis court from the bedroom and the balcony overlooks the tennis court. Great environment for children with shallow end in pool and enclosed complex with electric gates and intercom access to apartments. High chairs and cots can be arranged on request at extra cost.
Accessibility
All apartments have lifts and the complex is wheelchair accessible. Disabled toilets are on the ground floor and by the pool side. There is covered car parking.
Outside
The communal pool has sun loungers, umbrellas, toilet block and landscaped pool side. This is an enclosed complex with electric gates and intercom access to apartments. There are plenty of benches to relax on around the gardens. There is also a tennis court.
Coast/Beach
5 minutes drive to award winning sandy Pyla beach which is safe for children with shallow calm waters. Life guards. Volley ball nets. Play ground. Bars and restaurants. Larnaca beach 15 minutes drive. Famous Nissi beach 30 minutes drive. Plus a number of beautiful beaches all around the coast line accessible by car. Water sports available at most beaches.
Skiing
Skiing is available during the winter months in the Troodos Mountains, which are approximately an hours drive away. Skiing equipment can be hired at Troodos and there is also an area for sledging.
Travel
Larnaca Airport is 15-20 minutes drive. Car hire is available at the airport or you can easily pick up a taxi. Car hire is recommended and there are plenty of car hire agents. There is a regular local bus service.
Distances
Pyla village is a few minutes walk. Seafront and Dhekelia road 5 minutes by car. Larnaca 10 minutes by car. Ayia Napa, Nissi beach and water park 30 minutes. Oriklini 5 minutes drive.
Further details
Banks can be found on the Dhekelia Road and in Larnaca. Oriklini is the neighbouring village which has several tavernas, restaurants, banks and a pharmacy. Pyla is ideally situated for exploring this fabulous island with its ancient history.

I love the laid back approach to life in Cyprus. The welcoming hospitality and fantastic climate makes it an ideal place to relax and unwind.
Larnaca is such a beautiful city, very cosmopolitan and not spoiled by built up resorts.
Pyla itself, is a small friendly village within easy walking distance from the apartment. The Village Tavern is a great meeting place where you can get to know the locals as well as meet other holday makers.
Unique benefits of the property
Being close to the motorway makes the apartment very accessible to the rest of the island so is a fantastic base in which to explore. The resort itself is vey quiet and it is great to have the tennis court there as well as the swimming pool.
