Villa Doyan' is a modern, spacious 4 bedroom villa, laid out over 3 levels and set in a dramatic location to make the most of the sea and mountain views. Built to the UK owners specification it is tastefully furnished and generously equipped for an extended family or 2 families sharing. The villa features balconies, terraces, shaded cloisters (with hammock) and a large patio area surrounding the 10 x 5m infinity pool, complete with a pool-side bar/BBQ. Villa Doyan sits in landscaped grounds of around 1/2 acre on the crest of a hill to take full advantage of the spectacular views. Whether dining by the pool, eating on the kitchen terrace, sipping cocktails on the bedroom terrace, swimming in the pool, chilling in the hammock or just enjoying a beer by the BBQ the view of the sun setting in the west creates memories to treasure.

Notes on prices
Our prices are per week and are based on up to 8 people occupying the villa.
A charge of £50 per person per week should be added for groups over 8 people.
Rental charges include sheets and bathroom towels (but not beach/swimming towels), welcome pack, all water and electricity

Changeover day
Our preferred changeover day is Saturday, although we will do our best to accommodate other requirements outside the peak season.

Notes on accommodation
There is remote control air-conditioning in all bedrooms and the lounge. There are also several free standing fans.
A stair gate restricts children from wandering down to the pool unsupervised. However, once at pool level small children will need to be supervised at all times as there are risks associated with the pool and the surrounding area. A welcome pack is provided on arrival, typically tailored to take account of your arrival time.
Accessibility
The property has not been specifically constructed to cater for wheelchair users. However, Bedroom 4 is at ground level with the guest cloakroom next to it. Cars can be driven right up to the front door although there are two steps to gain access to the ground floor.
Outside
The private swimming pool is a 10m x 5m overflow pool with an infinity edge to the west, accessed by steps at the shallow end. The pool is surrounded by a large patio area with ample sunbeds, tables and chairs.
Close to the pool is a large covered Bar/BBQ with fridge, sink and a stone-built barbecue complete with tools. Alongside is a large covered area ideal for al-fresco dining.
There is an extensive terrace at ground floor level - extending from the kitchen area to the lounge and including a covered dining area outside the kitchen.
Below this terrace are shaded cloisters, complete with a hammock, which extend round to the garage and car-port.
The gardens around the villa have been been planted and there is an automatic irrigation system.
Coast/Beach
There are beaches within two miles of the villa. Some make a small charge for sunbeds/sunshade.
Travel
Ercan airport situated on the north side of the island is approx 45 minutes drive. Larnaca airport situated on the south side of the island, approx 90 minutes drive (this option involves border crossing).
Car hire is essential as the villa is located away from the hustle and bustle of the town. The final approach to Villa Doyan is up an unmade road, passing properties still under construction so we would recommend hiring a hard-top 4 wheel drive if possible.
Distances
The village of Karaoglanoglu, with several large supermarkets and restaurants is about 1.5 miles from the villa. Kyrenia is about 6 miles.

We have many years experience of travelling to and from Cyprus and would be happy to provide advice and assistance on flights and car hire.
There is an extensive "handbook" at the villa providing information on places to eat, things to see etc. but if you have any specific interests, request or concerns ahead of travelling please do get in touch and we will do our best to assist.
Booking notes
A deposit of 33% of the rental will be required at the time of booking.
The balance is required 8 weeks prior to holiday start date, along with a refundable security deposit of £200 held against any damage or breakages. This would normally be returned in the 2 weeks following your holiday.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We had been frequent visitors to Cyprus for many years, but only to the South side (Paphos area). When we decided to buy a property Cyprus sprang to mind, but we thought we ought to check out the North as well as the South. We visited several times and fell in love with North Cyprus - the people, the views, the beaches...so we bought a plot of land, sketched the villa we wanted and had it built (which turned out to be a lot more difficult then I just made it sound!)
But now it's done we are both delighted with the end result and pleased to share it with others.
Unique benefits of the property
When we went looking for a building plot we were searching for a stunning location...and we found one! Sitting up on the top of a hill, with fantastic views to the west of both the sea and the mountains. We were determined to make the most of the location so designed a villa on several levels, with lots of terraces and patios. The pool has an infinity edge looking straight out to the west which is spectacular, especially as the sun sets. We planned the layout of the villa with the idea of two families in mind - two "master" bedrooms with en-suites and lots of space for children. This was based on our own happy memories of holidays taken with good friends and their children in the past. Several years on we are pretty pleased with the result of our labours.
