New 2 bedroom garden apartment with own private pool (for sole use of guests). Guests may also use the large communal pool. The apartment has recently received a 4 Star Gold Award and is located on an exclusive complex a few minutes walk from the village shops and tavernas. A blue flag beach is only a 20 minutes walk or 4 minute drive through farmland; passing horse riding, the water park and a go-cart track on the way. There are also 4 golf courses nearby. The old town of Paphos, with its shops and restaurants, Paphos Harbour and the World Heritage Historic sites are all within 5 to 10 minutes by car.

Coast/Beach
A 20 minutes walk down a country lane will take you to the blue flagged Geroskipou beach, one of the best in Paphos with a breakwater protecting a safe swimming area. Sun loungers and brollies are available and there is even a tavern on the grassed area behind the beach. If you want to drive, the tree shaded parking is free.

Golf
In Paphos, golf can be played all year round, but in March/April and October/November conditions are perfect.
4 km from apartment is Elea Golf Club, designed by Nick Faldo, opened Oct 2010, par 71 (6,300m)
Secret Valley par 71 (5,989m) and Aphrodite Hills par 71 (6,000m) are a 10 minutes drive away along the coast. Minthis Hills at Tsada, par71 (5,828m), 2,000ft up in the foothills of the Troodos is a 25 minute drive.

Skiing
In the winter months skiing is available in the Troodos Mountains approximately one hours drive away. Equipment can be rented at the ski resort.

Travel
Paphos airport is 10 minutes by car (the new terminal building opened in November 2008). Please note that Geroskipou is not under the flight path so you will not be bothered by aircraft noise. Airport transfer is available. Car hire is recommended for exploring, prebooking is advisable in high season.

Distances
3 miles to Paphos harbour and historical sites. 40 miles to Limassol. 55 miles to the Troodos Mountains for stunning scenery. 20 miles to the Akamas Peninsular for walking, turtle watching and secluded beaches. 20 miles to Latchi with its picturesque harbour and fish restaurants.

Further details
For the more active, the water park and the go-cart track are both approximately a 20 minute walk. A 5 minute walk will take you to the center of Geroskipou, where you will find a supermarket, bakery, shops, bars, restaurants, banks, internet cafe and Geroskipou's claim to fame - Cyprus Delight.

Booking notes
£100 non-refundable deposit required upon booking. Reservation confirmed on receipt of cleared funds (BAC transfers usually take 3 working days and there are no charges). Balance payable 8 weeks before departure together with £100 refundable deposit for keys and breakages. This will be returned 14 days after the holiday when we have confirmed that no deductions are necessary.

About the owner
My husband and I retired to Paphos, Cyprus by accident. We have lived in various countries around the world with my husband's job working for a Cement Company, i.e. Sumatra, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Nigeria and the Emirates. As my husband was reaching retirement age and Cyprus Airways had a special offer on we decided to travel back to UK through Paphos and take a look. Arriving at Limasol Airport we were met by a friend who already owned a villa in Paphos. The scenery reminded us of Derbyshire, but much warmer, and with the wonderful smell of orange blossom. We already felt at home. Over the following week we looked around Paphos and viewed several villas falling in love with the one we now live in.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We liked the idea of a self contained apartment with its own pool in a village location but within a 10 minute drive of Paphos with its shops and restaurants. There was also ease of access to the water park, go-kart track, mini golf, horse riding and the beach 15 minutes walk away. Geroskipou is an ideal base for visiting lots of interesting places and my husband was impressed by having three golf courses nearby.

Unique benefits of the property
The apartment has its own private pool, for exclusive use of the occupants; therefore children can be easily supervised. Serious swimmers may also use the large communal pool. We manage the apartment in person thus ensuring an excellent level of cleanliness and everything in working order. Having experience of hotels worldwide we have a good idea of the standard to set and attention to detail that makes a difference.
