This 4 bedroom villa completed in 2008, is in a quiet elevated position in the village of Lapta, and enjoys panoramic sea and mountain views. Furnished and built to a modern high standard. Spacious living area with 4 bedrooms, all of which are en-suite and air-conditioned. The feature galleried dining room opens onto a large terrace overlooking the 8m x 4m overflow pool. The large fully fitted kitchen is well appointed and complimented with modern units and granite worktops and breakfast bar. Private gated driveway and garden. Local beaches, restaurants and well stocked supermarkets are a couple of minutes drive away. The stunning harbour town of Kyrenia is a 15-20 minute drive. Less than an hour from the airport of Ercan in the North, and one and a half hours from Larnaca in the South, the villa can be reached easily from your local airport. Car hire is recommended and can be arranged as well as airport transfers.

Accessibility
The villa has not been specially constructed or adapted for wheelchair use and is arranged over 2 floors, the upper floor being accessed via a marble turned staircase.
Outside
Private overflow swimming pool (8x4m) with steps and ladder access, pool lighting and terrace lighting. Newly planted landscaped garden with young fruit trees and a wide range of shrubs. A large, terraced area surrounds the pool and is complimented with patio chairs, table and 4 sun loungers. The gardens are enclosed by stone walls and double gates give access to a private driveway with parking for 2 cars.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is 5 minutes drive and has family-friendly activities, a large pool, restaurant and water sports. Other quieter beaches (eg. Guzelyali) are about 10 minutes drive to the west, while scuba-diving centres can be found at many of the beaches on the drive towards Kyrenia. There is a small charge to use the facilities at these beaches but well worth it for the service provided. Escape Beach is fantastic, with a sandy beach, shallow sea, restaurant and full facilities.
Golf
There is an 18 hole golf course, newly constructed in 2007, with top class facilities, restaurants, bars and Pro's shop to the east at Esentepe - approximately 25 miles from Lapta, definitely worth the journey. There is also a well established 9 hole course to the west at Guzelyurt, approximately 15 miles from Lapta, please ask for details.
Travel
Ercan Airport is about 40 minutes drive from Lapta (all flights via Turkey), Larnaca about 80 minutes. Pick-ups can be arranged from either airport. Car hire, though not essential, is recommended for at least part of your holiday. Car hire companies usually offer a discount on airport pickups if you hire a car from them, and this can be arranged locally before you go, with the hire car delivered and collected from the villa. Car hire is about £20 per day.
Distances
Lapta is a 20 mins drive from Kyrenia and less than an hour from Lefkosa (Nicosia). The beautiful village of Bellapais with its Abbey and stunning views of Kyrenia is a 30 min drive as is the mountain castle ruins of St Hilarion. The walled city of Gazimagusa to the East is about 1.5 hours, with medieval architecture and shops selling copies of famous brand goods, and the sandy beaches to be found in this area are magnificent.
Further details
Driving in Cyprus couldn't be easier, they drive on the left as in the UK and the roads away from the major towns are relatively quiet. As well as Turkish Lira, most restaurants, bars and shops accept sterling as a currency, giving a far better exchange rate than you could buy Turkish Lira at home. If you need to change travellers cheques or use ATMs, these can be found in Kyrenia (Girne). The area around Kyrenia has some great restaurants to suit all tastes, and a full list of recommended places to eat can be found at the villa. The harbour in Kyrenia is beautiful with lots of waterfront bars and restaurants to choose from, whilst the road from Lapta to Kyrenia has a vast number of restaurants and top class hotels, all serving great food. Recent political changes mean that on a visit to Nicosia (Lefkosa) you can now pass through the Green Line to the Greek side for the first time since 1974; you will need your passport and Euros to spend in the south.
Climate: Northern Cyprus is blessed with the most pleasing climate in all of Europe. Winters are mild and rarely extend beyond February, and with over 300 days of sunshine a year, the temperatures can reach into the 70s well into December, and as early as February. In April and May, North Cyprus is at its most beautiful, with fields of wild flowers in full bloom, and the weather is not unlike that of a good English summer. June, July and August are the hottest months, and ideal for sun worshippers. Not surprisingly, September and October are most popular, when the weather is still wonderfully warm (rarely below 80F), but with cooler evenings.

Please contact owner to check availability. A non-returnable 20% deposit is payable within 7 days to secure booking, and the full balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival. Payment by personal cheque or bank transfer only. Confirmation of booking will be sent by email and keys will be sent to you one week prior to departure. There is a £100 breakage bond payable and this will be returned provided no damage has occurred and on the return of the keys within one week of your return.
