Mountain View Villa is fully equipped to a high standard. By car it is a 2 minute drive to the nearest supermarket and 10 minutes to the bigger ones. In the opposite direction, is a rocky cove and the nearest restaurant, the 'Sirin Yali' which specialises in fish and traditional mezes. The nearest beach for swimming is 5 minutes drive along the main road where cafes have good and reasonably priced food. All local hotels allow day visitors to their beaches for a small charge. Club Simena is less than a mile away and has a wonderful pool, beautiful trees and is free to use providing you have some refreshment there. Their staff are friendly and their quiz nights are tremendous fun. A welcome pack can be provided until you can get to the shops. Kyrenia (Girne to the locals), the capital of Northern Cyprus is a 20 minute scenic drive. It has a beautiful harbour and all manner of shops, banks, cafes, restaurants and historical sites.

Changeover day
Flights to Ercan in the North are Wednesdays and Saturdays and to Larnaca more frequent and cheaper - there is a charge for pick-up from Larnaca. Check-out time depends on incoming/outgoing flights and depend on access for new occupants for the villa.

Notes on accommodation
This large villa has spectacular views of mountains and sea. The pool has a shallow end and step for safe access. Air- conditioning in the master bedroom ceiling fans all 3 bedrooms screened windows and doors add to a comfortable stay.
Accessibility
Although the villa is suitable for children it should be noted that the steps from the house to the pool and garden are fairly steep so children under 5 years of age would need to be watched.
Outside
The villa has a large garden with young plants, shrubs and trees. The pool is maintained twice weekly and is furnished with sun loungers, umbrellas and ample patio furniture to make it very convenient for drinking, eating or barbequing. A small barbecue and one set of coals are provided and can be found through the walkway to next door in the shared shed.
Golf
There are 2 golf clubs in Northern Cyprus the CMC Golf Club in Guzelyurt and a newly opened golf club in Esentepe called Korineum Golf and Country Club. Both are less than a one hour drive from Karsiyaka. This 72 par course is designed for golfers of all standards. The paspalm playing surface has well placed bunkers and water hazards.
Travel
Ercan, is the nearest airport and a 50 minute drive to Karsiyaka. Car hire is available and advisable for supermarket shopping and sight seeing. Airport transfer is free from Ercan with a 7-day car hire. Flights to Larnaca in the South are more frequent and shorter as they don't have to touch down in Turkey. Larnaca is about 90 minutes drive with a simple border crossing to the North. The transfer from Larnaca is £50 each way. It is not possible to hire a car in the South and stay in the North.
Distances
Places to visit: Restaurant - The Abbey Bell Tower, Bella Pais, good food, shops, great views and free transport if you decide to dine there. Say hi to Ali G, who will make you very welcome. St Hilarian Castle is a good climb and has beautiful views. Markets - Kyrenia, Wednesdays and Guzelyurt, Saturdays. Views - A wonderful drive along the North coast from the mountain road. Wildlife - Herds of donkeys at the end of Karpas Peninsular.

Learn to dive some hotels either have their own dive schools or can arrange for you to be taken to one nearby. Before you sign up check the schools accreditation and insurance.
Paint balling can be enjoyed at SunSet Beach in Lapta, plus other fun activities for you and your children. Membership options from 2 weeks to 6 months are available.
Water parks most hotels allow non residents to have access to their pools if refreshments are purchased there. There are also 2 water parks.
The dedicated water park in Catalkoy has slides, flumes and organised activities for children in the summer whilst the smaller park in Lapta is only 10 mins drive from the villas.
Boat Trips - An array of boat trips can be booked from the Harbour in Kyrenia.

The 220km long Bespamark and Kyrenia mountain chain spans east to west. It begins at the Zafer Cape on the easternmost tip near to Kantara Castle and reaches Cape Korucam on the westernmost edge. Exceptional views, stunning craggy castles, hidden monasteries and churches, beautiful natural scenery and exciting hiking and biking challenges. Kyrenia Mountain Trail Association is a non-profit making organization of International individuals, local companies, the North Cyprus Tourism Ministry and various hotel associations. They joined forces to promote this unique natural attribute that is the crowning glory of North Cyprus.
The Association has mapped the entire trail and have accommodation options for hikers, bikers, back packers.

Hi We had a lovely stay at the villa, thank you so much. It was spotless and furnished very well. The locals were very friendly. We made good use of the barbecue! We went to the Aqua park which we really enjoyed. The weather was absolutely baking and for few days it was in the mid 40's. The pool was lovely and cleaned very well and promptly. About the owner
I live in England and work full time so am not able to vist my villa as often as I would like. I also play league badminton which keeps me here. My brother and his wife own the villa next door so we share some of the responsibility.
Why the owner chose a home in this location
I love Nothern Cyprus because of the quiet unspoiled lifestyle. The views are wonderful with a range of bars and restaurants.

The property is just 5 minutes walk from the beach and has a spectacular mountain view. It is in a quiet neighbourhood and is not overlooked. Very comfortable and private to stay around the villa and enjoy the pool.
