The apartment is on the first floor and has 2 bedrooms, one bathroom and a fully fitted kitchen. The 2 bedrooms have a joint balcony and there is an additional balcony leading from the living room/kitchen area. The apartment benefits from air conditioning facilities, a covered car parking space and private use of a communal pool. It is sited on a small complex on the edge of Prodromi, a traditional Cypriot village. It is a 5 minute walk to the village and a further 10 minutes to the picturesque town of Polis. Polis has a variety of tavernas, restaurants and shops and the beach is a few minutes further on from there where you can take in spectacular views of the Akamas Peninsula in the distance. Polis is an ideal location for: walkers and cyclists being that it’s near to the Akamas National Park, scuba and water diving in nearby Latchi 3km away, taking a boat trip from Latchi to the Akamas Peninsula, exploring the Troodos mountains and golfing at Tsada 30 minutes away.

Notes on accommodation
The apartment is fully air conditioned and during the colder months there is the additional use of a portable oil heater. A safe has been installed for you to secure your personal belongings.
A welcome pack can be provided so please specify in advance if you would like it supplied. The pack would normally consist of milk, bread, butter, orange juice and bottled water but can be altered upon request. Tea, coffee and sugar will be supplied for your use.
It would be appreciated if there was no smoking in the apartment. Sorry, but pets are not allowed.
Accessibility
The apartment is situated on the 1st floor and can be accessed via either a stairway or a lift.
Outside
There is a balcony (off the living room/kitchen) with a table and four chairs. You have use of a communal swimming pool with shower and toilet facilities. The apartment also benefits from a private covered parking space. There is a lockable cupboard on the ground floor that can be used to store bicycles.
Coast/Beach
The beautiful Polis beach is accessible by car (10 mins away) or bicycle. You can enjoy a picnic there under the shade of the eucalyptus trees whilst taking in the lovely views of the Akamas Peninsula in the distance. From the beach, there is a lovely walk along the coastal walkway towards nearby Latchi (has a recently modernised marina) where you can dine on fresh fish caught that morning. From there, you can do a variety of water sports eg diving, water skiing, windsurfing, jet skiing etc.
Travel
Polis town is 45km away from Paphos airport and is easily accessible via the B7 road and just over two hours from Larnaca airport. Car hire can be arranged for pick up at the airport or alternatively, a taxi (40-45 Euros approx.) can be booked to take you to the apartment. Car hire is generally recommended (and can be arranged in Polis) as it allows you freedom to travel around to see the various sites in the area. A 4x4 vehicle is required when driving in the Akamas National Park.
Distances
Latchi has very good fish tavernas and the harbour and beach there are only 3kms away from Prodromi. The Akamas National Park is near to Polis (15 mins drive away), has beautiful scenery and is a good area for walking, birdwatching and cycling. Bird enthusiasts visit the area during the bird migration cycles in April and September (as the birds fly to/from Africa). The Troodos Mountains are about a 2 hrs drive away and can be easily explored by car and during Winter is a good place for skiing.
Further details
Polis is a traditional unspoilt Cypriot town with a variety of tavernas, restaurants and shops all centred around the old town square. Supermarkets, banks, a Post Office and the tourist information office are all easily found nearby. The village itself Prodromi, has a supermarket, bakery, fruiterer, tavernas and a new ten pin bowling centre.
The surrounding area is ideal for cycling, walking and hiking the unspoilt hills of the Akamas Peninsula and within the Troodos area lie numerous nature trails in the Troodos National Forest Park. Tsada golf course is only 30 minutes drive away and is located amongst vineyards next to a 12th century monastery.
You can take a road trip inc. hired driver to the Akamas Peninsula to see it's deep gorges (e.g. Avakas Gorge), wild landscape and sandy bays. The Akamas is home to a large number of birds, rare wild plants and beautiful flowers unique to the island. Lara Bay is a beautiful beach and is a turtle sanctuary where the endangered green and loggerhead turtles can be seen. As mentioned previously driving within the Akamas area requires the use of a 4x4 vehicle.
The Baths of Aphrodite and Neo Chorio (a small and traditional village) are nearby. Pomos (19km away) has a man made harbour (at Pomos Point) overlooked by an nice taverna and adjacent to the ‘Relax’ beach which has a unique charm of its own.
The Kato Paphos Archaeological Park (near the fort and the harbour front) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and sheds some light on Cyprus under the Roman Empire. It is home to some wonderful Roman mosaics found on the floors of the Roman villas.
The popular large, sandy beach at Coral Bay is classed as being one of the best on the west coast and is worth a visit but gets very busy during the peak season.
The Aphrodite Waterpark (30-40 minutes drive away) is open between May and October and is a great day out for the whole family. It is situated on the far eastern end of the Kato Paphos coastal road.
Booking notes
In order to confirm your booking please send a 25% deposit which is non-refundable. The full balance is required 8 weeks before your departure date. If the booking is less than 8 weeks before your departure then full payment is required and is non-refundable. A £100 deposit is required (at the time of paying the balance) to cover any breakages etc. This will be refunded upon checking of the apartment.
