Riverside Apartments are ideally situated in a quiet residential area of Geroskipou, a Paphos suburb still oozing with traditional charm, near the Mediterranean coast. There is a large 25m swimming pool with stone, paved surround, and toddler pool. Sun loungers and a parasol are provided in the private storage area for the apartment; perfect for relaxation. The layout includes open plan living/dining leading out via patio doors to the sunny balcony, equipped with table and chairs. The balcony has superb sea and pool views catching the sun all afternoon until sunset. There is an ample kitchen area with oven, hob, fridge freezer and microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. The lounge has a large screen TV, DVD and Cd players. The bathroom has WC, basin and bath with shower. The bedrooms are both doubles; each with large built in wardrobes. The apartment sleeps a maximum of 6 people. Both bedrooms and lounge are fitted with ceiling fans, air-conditioning units and wall heaters.

Changeover day
Any changeover day is permissible, however if the week occupies 2 different season tariffs it will be charged at the higher rate. You may take occupancy from any time on the day you arrive and vacate at any time but you will be charged rent accordingly.

| Living Rooms: | There is a large lounge with dining area, dining table and kitchen area. The lounge has a double sofa bed and 2 single sofa beds, a plasma screen TV, DVD player and radio/CD player. DVDs, CDs and board games are provided for your use. |

Notes on accommodation
The apartment is fully air-conditioned for summer and is equipped with wall heaters for winter. Maps and leaflets on surrounding activities are provided. A cot is available on request. No pets allowed and no smoking inside the apartment please.

Accessibility
The apartment building is equipped with a lift, telephone entry system and private parking under cover. Geroskipou square with its bars, tavernas and shops is only a short walk down the road. The village is a tourist attraction in itself for its beautiful old church and as the birthplace of Cypriot Delights (known as Turkish Delight in the UK). However, for further exploration a car is recommended. There is a 24 hour shop only 5 minutes walk away on the airport road.
Outside
The apartment is located in one of three small blocks of 12 apartments. There is a large private 25m residents swimming pool with private sun loungers and parasol for the use of our apartment guests. If you are after peace, tranquility and sun then you need look no further than the Riverside Apartments. Adjacent to the pool is an orchard containing almond, orange and olive trees. The pool area is equipped with pool showers and toilets.
Coast/Beach
Geroskipou municipal beach can be reached by a short 30 minute walk down quiet country lanes or in a few minute by car. Car parking is free. The blue flag, sandy beach is large with loungers and parasols to rent at a small charge of €2. A brand new beach bar has just been erected selling drinks and snacks. This beach is ideal for the young family with very shallow water protected by a rocky breakwater. It also boasts beach side bars, amusements, beach volleyball courts and water sports.
Golf
There are 3 golf courses within 15 minutes of the apartment. Aphrodite Hills is the most recent development and is a challenging championship golf course set on the coastal cliffs above Aphrodite’s rock. Tsada golf course and Secret Valley golf course are two excellent golf courses to test golfers of all abilities. In Summer 2010 a new golf course to rival Aphrodite Hills will be opening in Geroskipou, only 1 minute drive away!
Skiing
Skiing is available in the Troodos Mountains in the winter months from early January to late March on the 6,400ft Mount Olympus. Within 40 minutes you can be sunbathing by the pool again! For information on booking a skiing trip and the condition of the slopes click on skicyprus.com.
Travel
Paphos airport is less than 10 minutes by car from the apartment. There is no aircraft noise.
Distances
A 5 minute walk takes you the centre of Geroskipou village where there are shops, banks, restaurants and cafes. The beach is 5 mins by car or 30 mins walk. The harbour and Paphos main tourist area for shops and restaurants is 10 minutes by car. Aphrodite’s Rock is 15 mins by car and Aphrodite’s Baths is 30 mins by car.

The capital of Cyprus is Nicosia which lies on the border with Turkish occupied Cyprus. It is a busy city with an extensive history. From Limassol you can go on 2 or 3 day cruises to Egypt and visit the Pyramids or take a cruise to the holy land, Israel. On the eastern side of the island is Agia Napa; always popular with young fun loving holiday makers. The beaches are some of the best in the Mediterranean. Other places to visit include:

Prices quoted are for the apartment per week for 4 people. For other durations please email. A deposit of £100 is payable at the time of booking by cheque to 'R Batham', bank transfer, or paypal; the balance due 6 weeks prior to the commencement of your holiday.
The deposit is non-refundable.
Cancellation within 6 weeks of the holiday: the full payment is non refundable. If, however, we are able to re-let your week for the full price we will return your payment (including deposit) in full.

About the owner
My partner Rob and I live in Sheffield and had discussed buying a place abroad for some time. We went on holiday to Cyprus and we loved it so much that we ended up buying an apartment there by the end of the holiday!
For the first 2 years we enjoyed the apartment for ourselves but last year decided to rent it out as it seemed such a shame to leave it empty for most of the year.
If you book with us I am sure you will enjoy it as much as we do.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We chose Paphos because it is a cosmopolitan city which is still great for families.
The harbour front has recently been renovated and is now a lovely place to stroll on a warm summer's night.
The village of Geroskipou, where our apartment is located, is away from the tourist traps but close enough to get into the centre of Paphos within 5 minutes.
The apartment is set in a residential area and is lovely and peaceful at night. There are bars and restaurants close by though if you don't fancy driving into Paphos.
Unique benefits of the property
Sitting on the large balcony overlooking the almond trees and pool, watching the sun go down, is one of my favourite pastimes when I am there.
The property is only 8 minutes from the airport and 5 minutes from the centre of Paphos.
The beaches are about 5 minutes drive away or a 25 minute walk downhill.
If you like skiing, the Troodos mountains are covered in snow in winter and are just 30 minutes drive. They are also lovely to visit in summer too as there are lots of walking trails.
There are 4 great golf courses within a 15 minute drive too.
Our apartment is equipped with sunbeds, mattresses and an umbrella as well as a large screen TV, DVD player and plenty of DVDs for your use.
You can be as active or as lazy on this holiday as you wish!
