The Dias complex is located between the rather quaint old town of Paralimni, with its lovely town square and fountains and Kapparis which is only just starting to be developed. It is within easy reach of all amenities including restaurants, supermarkets, bars, 24 hour bakery, bus stop - all within a 10 minute walk. The popular Fireman's beach is only a 15-20 min walk away, and Agia Triada with its beach and small fishing harbour 3 minutes by car. The lively resorts of Protaras (10 mins by car) and Ayia Napa (15 mins by car) are also easily accessible by bus and taxi. This spacious apartment has a large patio to the front, with patio furniture, ideal for alfresco dining. Loungers are provided for use by the pool. There is also the benefit of allocated covered parking. The owners have provided a portfolio of information all about the apartment and local area, together with maps and recommendations on what to do and where to go during your holiday.

Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 with double bed, fitted wardrobes and air conditioning.
Bedroom 2 with twin beds, fitted wardrobes and air conditioning.
Bathrooms: Bathroom with bath/shower and wc.
Kitchen: Fully equipped modern kitchen with cooker, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster and washing machine. An iron and ironing board are also supplied.
Living Rooms: The lounge area is air conditioned and seats 4 on 2 double sofas (one single sofa bed) opening up through patio doors to the patio. There is a TV with DVD. The dining area seats 6.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Linen and towels are provided and changed weekly. The property is cleaned prior to your arrival. Please provide your own beach towels.

Notes on accommodation
A welcome pack is provided on you arrival. Our managing agents are available 24 hours a day in the unlikely event of any emergencies. Smoking is not permitted inside the apartment. We regret that pets are not allowed in the apartment or on the complex.

Accessibility
Being on the ground floor the apartment is suitable for those with mobility problems but as there are a few steps to the front and a single step at the rear door it is not accessible to wheelchair users.

Outside
The large patio to the front ideal for alfresco dining. A table and seating for 6, along with parasol are provided. The communal pool is secluded and usually quiet surrounded by sunbathing area. Adjacent to the pool are showers and toilet facilities.

Coast/Beach
In Kapparis 15 min walk, you will find unspoilt, secluded sandy coves where you can have the beach to yourself all day long, as well as a wealth local tavernas, bars and restaurants. In between Kapparis and Protaras 10 min drive, is the charming resort of Pernera with sandy beaches and excellent restaurants. Protaras is characterised by the quaint domed church of Profitis Elias, floodlit at night, perched precariously on the top of a hill overlooking the town.

Travel
Nearest airport is Larnaca 65km (about 45 min drive). Car hire available at the airport or we can arrange a taxi to meet you or you can pick up a taxi at the airport. The property is easy to find. Owners will provide directions. Taxi fare approximately £25 each way from the property to the airport. Car hire is recommended as it will give you the opportunity to explore the island but is not essential as taxis and local buses are available.

Distances
Nearest beach less than 2km. A supermarket, bank, and a number of tavernas and restaurants are all within a 10 min walk. The traditional old town of Paralimni is about a 5 min drive. Protaras, with its water sports and Fig tree Bay 10 mins and Ayia Napa with the water park, the wonderful Nisi beach and the night life only 15 mins.

Further details
Cyprus enjoys an intense Mediterranean climate with long dry summers from mid-May to mid-October, with hot sun and clear blue skies, and mild winters from December to February, separated by very short spring and autumn seasons. Sea breezes create a pleasant atmosphere in coastal areas. Winters are mild with some rain and snow in the Troodos Mountains (around Christmas). Even in December and January there is an average of six hours of bright sunshine a day.

The Famagusta District if on the island's east coast and was once the main port of Cyprus and a very popular tourist resort with the best beaches on the island. After the Turkish invasion of 1974, the areas of Ayia Napa and Protaras were redeveloped to become one of the largest resort areas on the island. These areas have now become a big draw for sun seekers and watersports enthusiasts. Ayia Napa, only a 15 minute drive from our apartment, is best known for its colourful shops, clubs, restaurants, and bars but not so long ago it was just a small fishing village. It still has a small fishing fleet and harbour, surrounded by Tavernas specialising in fresh fish cuisine.

There are quieter places too. Cape Greko, is a promontory jutting out into the sea, where you can experience the most amazing sunsets and is worth a visit just to appreciate the sheer tranquillity and brilliant azure of a crystal clear sea, which is incredibly warm in the summer/autumn.

Going west, one can view the recently uncovered ancient tombs of Macronissos or if you travel slightly inland, you will see many ancient village churches, dating from the 13th century. The craft of basket making carries on at Liopetri, and just east of the village of Xylofagou is the picturesque inlet of Potamos, home to a small fleet of fishing boats, where you can have a quiet lunch and cold beer whilst watching the fishermen mend their nets before setting sail for the evening.
