Villa Maniola is a modern, luxury 5 bedroom villa, completed in May 2004. The villa offers exceptionally spacious accommodation, (over 300 sq.m.), which would suit a large family or 2 families sharing. 12 people can be accommodated in 3 double bedrooms and 2 twin bedrooms. Tastefully furnished and fully equipped, Villa Maniola sits in grounds of around 1/2 acre. The villa has a large swimming pool (14m x 7m) surrounded by a terrace. The villa is half an hours drive from the new championship standard golf course at Esentepe.

| Bathrooms: | Bedrooms 1, 2 and 3 have ensuite shower rooms with wc. There is one main family bathroom with Bath/shower over and wc. |
| Kitchen: | The spacious kitchen is built around a central island housing a gas hob. The kitchen is equipped with built in oven, microwave, dish washer, large fridge/freezer, extensive cupboards and granite worktops. |

| Living Rooms: | The lounge has a large marble fireplace, two sets of sliding doors lead on to the rear sun terrace It is furnished with two three seater sofas which surround a large coffee table. TV, video and DVD. Stereo system with CD and cassette deck. |

Linen and towels are provided. But guests will need to bring their own towels for use around the swimming pool and beach. |
Notes on accommodation
The villa is located in a quiet, semi rural position on the outskirts of Alsancak, to the west of Kyrenia. The villa is sited on raised ground and has views overlooking the coast, about 1 mile distant and the mountains. The nearest supermarkets and restaurants can be found in the village of Karaoglanaoglu 5 minutes away by car. One of the best beaches in Northern Cyprus, Escape beach, is also 5 minutes drive away. Villa Maniola offers a get-away-from-it-all holiday, combining luxurious accommodation and breathtaking views of the Northern Cyprus coastline and the Kyrenia mountain range in a rural setting.

Outside
The grounds extend to around 1/2 acre. The villa was completed in May 2004 and the garden planted out in October 2004, so the garden is still in an immature state. It has been planted out with flowering hedges to rear and side boundaries, bouganvilias along the front wall and around the villa and numerous fruit trees, including Oranges, Lemons, Olives, Bananas, etc. A large area has been laid to lawn.
The private swimming pool is unusually large for a private villa being (14m x 7m / 45ft x 23ft) and of overflow design, ie. water level is flush with level of terrace. The pool has underwater lights and the pool terrace is well lit for night time barbeques.
Coast/Beach
The coast is about 1 mile distant. One of Northern Cyprus' best beaches, Escape beach, is directly below the villa.
Golden Beach is located at the end of the Karpas peninsular and is generally recognised as being one of the best beaches in the world. It is a long drive from Kyrenia but well worth it. Best to start early and make a day of it.
Golf
Korineum Golf & Country Club - Opened April 2007
Situated to the east of Kyrenia on the coast at the foot of the Five Finger Mountain in Esentepe, the stunning Korineum Golf & Country Club is the first full 18 hole golf course in Northern Cyprus. The course has been created amongst a natural forest of Umbrella Pines and Olive trees. The course has views of the Mediterranean Sea on one side, and the famous Five Finger Mountain range on the other.

The Course is 6,232 metres in length and is designed for golfers of all standards and ages. The Paspalum playing surface is maintained in excellent condition throughout the year, and has strategically placed bunkers and water hazards.

Special interest holidays
Walking – The area around Kyrenia is ideal for walking and hiking for people of all ages and abilities. The most popular routes are in the Kyrenia Mountain range.
Scuba Diving – The waters surrounding Northern Cyprus make for some of the best scuba diving in the world.
Museums- The oldest commercial ship wreck was found a few miles from Kyrenia Harbour (Dated 300 BC) and is now displayed in the castle museum in Kyrenia.
Paragliding - is a relatively new sport but the geography of Northern Cyprus is well suited to the sport.
Go Karting - There are 2 excellent go karting tracks in Nicosia, about half an hours drive from the villa.
Horse Riding – There are several centres for horse riding.
Cycling – Mountain Bikes can be hired in Kyrenia.

Travel
Northern Cyprus is served by Ercan airport which is about 45mins drive from Villa Maniola. Alternatively, you can fly into Southern Cyprus and travel to the North. Larnaca Airport is about 1hr 30mins drive from Villa Maniola.
Distances
The nearest village is Karaoglanaoglu, this contains an excellent supermarket and restaurants. The town of Kyrenia, famous for its horse shoe shaped harbour, is about 15 mins away by car. Further details
Northern Cyprus is unique in that is is relatively close to Europe, but has been overlooked by the tourist industy for many years and is consequently one of the few places in the Mediterranean where day to day life seems to have stood still for the past 30 years. Now with Southern Cyprus a member of the EU and border restrictions between the North and South being relaxed, Northern Cyprus is back on the tourist map. In truth, it had never really gone away, but the wider perception of a 'closed community' meant that it was generally over looked and ignored. A small contigent of tourists from Europe, including many from the UK have in fact been visiting the Northern part of Cyprus for many years and have enjoyed their secret.
Today, visiting Northern Cyprus is a real joy. It brings back memories of Mediterranean holiday destinations before the arrival of large scale commercial tourism and all that entails. In contrast to some of the main coastal towns in the South, Kyrenia, the major tourist destination in the North, is a small peaceful harbour town. Kyrenia has numerous bars and restaurants and a fascinating history as witnessed by the Venetian harbour front buildings, its medieval fort and numerous ancient buildings.
