'Turtle Villa' is a large 4 bedroom detached villa situated in a prime location on the outskirts of Catalkoy village with far reaching views overlooking the northern Cyprus coastline and Kyrenia harbour. There are stunning mountain views to the rear including Bellapais Abbey. The villa is set in its own walled garden which is planted out with many shrubs and trees, offering seclusion. There is a private 10m x 5m overflow pool surrounded by a large terrace on all sides with sun loungers. A pool pergola provides a large shaded area to sit and also has a shower room and wc. Inside the villa the downstairs is very light, spacious and open plan with archways separating the lounge, dining room and kitchen. The lounge has TV, DVD, CD/radio and a collection of board games. French doors lead from the dining area to a raised terrace overlooking the pool and garden. Upstairs there are 4 double bedrooms each with air conditioning and their own private balcony with sea or mountain views.

Prices shown are for the property for 2-4 persons. Each additional person (up to a maximum of 8 persons in total) is charged as follows:
14/04/2012 to 26/05/2012 - £50 extra.
26/05/2012 to 30/06/2012 - £55 extra.
30/06/2012 to 01/09/2012 - £60 extra.
01/09/2012 to 03/11/2012 - £55 extra.
Changeover day
During the peak season Saturday is the preferred changeover day. We are quite flexible the rest of the year.

The villa is cleaned prior to arrival. Bedlinen and towels are provided and changed weekly. Please bring your own beach towels. Visitors are welcome to use the washing machine. A welcome pack is provided. The pool is cleaned and maintained twice weekly. |

Accessibility
Please note that the villa has a marble spiral staircase, which is not suitable for very young children or the infirm.
Outside
'Turtle Villa' is situated within its own walled garden, which is well planted with many scented shrubs and trees, and has a paved drive providing off road parking. The villa has a lovely 10m x 5m private swimming pool with a Roman end and underwater lighting. The pool is surrounded by a large paved area with sun-loungers. A pergola with shower-room and wc is located next to the pool and provides a cool shaded area to simply relax and enjoy the views. A BBQ is located on a raised terrace next to the villa offering a beautiful area to dine al fresco. Outdoor table and chairs are available.
Coast/Beach
Our local beach, Catalkoy beach, is only 5 minutes away by car. It is a sheltered sandy cove with bar, loungers and parasols for hire and diving board into the sea. It is very good for snorkelling. The Acapulco complex has watersports facilities and is only 10 minutes drive. The Turtle Beach with its famous turtle preservation project is 15 minutes east of Catalkoy and is well worth a visit, especially if you have children. Hatching season of the sea-turtles is from mid-May until mid-October.
Golf
There is a new 18 hole golf course now open at Esentepe 15 minute drive from villa.
Travel
Turkish Airlines and Pegasus fly to Ercan Airport in Northern Cyprus. These flights touch down in Turkey for approx 40 minutes. The villa is a 45 min drive away from Ercan.
Various Airlines (British Airways, Cyprus Airways, Monarch, Thomas Cook and various airlines from many regional airports) fly to Larnaca in the South. The villa is a 90 min drive away from Larnaca.
Through our local agent, we can arrange transfer by taxi from either airport and car hire.
Distances
The villa is located on a quiet back road between the villages of Catalkoy (1 mile away) and Ozankoy (1.5 miles away). It is easy to walk to either village along a quiet 'country' road. Both villages have small shops and restaurants. Ozankoy is the larger village and has a number of other shops including a mini-market, butchers, bookshop and hairdressers. There are a number of large supermarkets within 3 miles of the villa. The main town of Kyrenia, with its picturesque harbour is 5 miles away.
Further details
Car hire is recommended in order to explore the north of the island with its many and varied sites of interest as well as the stunning scenery.
Booking notes
A deposit of 20% is required at the time of booking with the balance payable 8 weeks prior to departure.
