Polis is fast becoming one of the most talked about places in Cyprus. There has recently been a much needed development of shops and restaurants, whilst it has retained the peaceful tranquillity and tradition of an area rich in ancient history. Laatchi Harbour is just 5 mins drive away, here you will find the marina and many fish tavernas, supermarkets and gift shops. There are watersports on offer and a beautiful sand and pebble beach leading to the beautiful turquoise waters of the Med. Polis itself boasts a sand and pebble beach which is more secluded. Both beaches are surrounded by stunning views of the Akamas Penninsula that will take your breath away. Polis Square, 2 mins by car, is a place of charm and full of character offering bars, shops and tavernas. Here you will meet many locals who always have a tale to tell over a Cypriot coffee or a beer. The apartment is on the 2nd floor of a brand new complex, it has satellite TV, CD radio, DVD, barbecue and private parking.

*Special school holiday discount for summer 2008 available on request. Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds.
Any amount of days will be considered. Midweek lets are no problem. Discount will be offered for booking of 4 weeks or longer. Air-conditioning is charged year round at the following rates: Up to 2 people £3 per day. Up to 4 people £4 per day. Up to 6 people £5 per day.

Changeover day
Bookings are flexible i.e: midweek, extra nights, weekends etc. We also accept long term bookings at reduced rates.

Accommodation
Bedrooms: Master Bedroom with double bed and private balcony.
Bedroom 2 with twin beds.
Bedroom 3 with twin beds.
Bathrooms: En suite bathroom: master bedroom, bath/shower and toilet.
Bathroom 2: bath/shower and toilet.
Both bathrooms are fully tiled from floor to ceiling.
Kitchen: Modern kitchen with hob/cooker, fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave. There is extensive supply of crockery, cutlery and glassware etc. Also kettle, toaster and coffee maker. The kitchen is modern and is open plan with dining room and lounge.
Living Rooms: The dining room and lounge have seating for up to 6 people, there is satellite TV, DVD, CD/radio, coffee table. There are patio doors from the lounge leading to balcony with seating for up to 6 and 2 sunloungers. On the back balcony there is a barbecue.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
All bed linens including crisp white cotton sheets and pilowcases are provided. Also blankets and quilted throws for each bed. Towels and beach towels are also provided. Maid service is available on request at an extra cost.

Notes on accommodation
The accommodation is not suitable for very elderly or infirmed due to 2nd floor aspect. The air conditioning can also be used for heating in cooler months. The apartment is suitable for children but we should mention that the swimming pool does not have a shallow end, please bare this in mind if you are booking for very young children. There is private car parking under the apartment.

Accessibility
Not suitable for wheelchair access.

Outside
There is a communal pool (heated in winter) with sunloungers for general use. The pool measures 10m x 5m and is accessible by chrome steps. There are showers and changing rooms/toilet provided. There is no garden with the apartment but it is surrounded by orchards and olive groves and plenty of places to walk dogs etc. The apartment has 3 balconies, 1 is only accessible from the master bedroom, 1 has seating for up to 6 people and 1 houses the barbecue and drying maiden for washing.

Coast/Beach
Beaches on Cyprus do have lovely golden sand but also have pebbles. The water is turquoise and very very clear. Polis beach is 3-5 mins by car or 15-20 mins to walk to. Laatchi beach is 5-7 mins by car and 30-45 mins to walk to. There are also beaches at Argaka and Pomos but you need to drive to these, it would take 15 to 30 mins. On all beaches there are sunloungers and umberellas for hire and public toilets.

Golf
The golf course at Tsada is just 25 minutes drive away, this is a 18-hole course with extensive facilities. There is also the Secret Valley and Aphrodite Hills Courses which are 1 hours. drive away. These are also 18 holes and are built right on the coast. No need to bring your golf clubs with you these can be hired along with buggy. Golfing in Cyprus is an amazing experience.

Travel
Polis is 45 mins drive from Paphos International Airport by car or taxi. There are plenty of car hire or taxi firms locally, you can arrange to pick your hire car up at the airport or at the apartment. We can arrange all this for you if required. Driving in Cyprus is the same as in the UK (on the left) and we do recommed a car but it is not essential.

Further details
Polis is located on the stunning Akamas Peninsula and local activities include walking, cycling, bird watching. There are 3 banks (open Mon-Fri 8am - 1pm) local supermarket (in September/October there is a large supermarket opening which is within walking distance), bakers, local butchers and pharmacies. There is a local hospital with an A&E dept 3-5 mins drive away (if coming from EU country please bring E111 with you, you will receive free healthcare). There are plenty of tavernas, a few bars (many more if you travel into Paphos) and restaurants. You can hire bikes, quad bikes and even book jeep safaris locally in Polis. There is a beautiful church and local places of worship for most religions. If there is anything we have missed please ask.

Booking notes
Your booking is provisional for 14 days, it will be confirmed once we receive a deposit of £30per person. The balance must be paid no later than 8 weeks before your arrival.
