This downstairs apartment sleeps 4 in a double, with en-suite, and a twin bedded room. It is fully air conditioned, fully furnished and fully equipped. It has TV, satellite and DVD player. Patios front, side and rear with wicker furniture and also an outdoor 4 seater, dining suite. Ideally situated next to a large, unusually shaped pool. Sea views. Off-road parking. Located on the new resort complex of Hilltop, Safa Koy. In addition to our pool, the complex has a choice of 2 communal pools and a restaurant/bar/coffee shop. Hilltop is just a 25 min walk from Bogaz village which is a small unspoilt village with harbour, cafes, bars, restaurants and 2 supermarkets. Bogaz is 25 km north of the historic town of Famagusta and near to the beaches and countryside of the Karpaz Peninsula (the pan-handle). Northern Cyprus is a lovely country to visit; the locals are friendly, English is widely spoken, the prices are reasonable and they drive on the left. Summer season is long and sunny.

Living Rooms: The kitchen/diner/living room is air-conditioned, has a comfy 3 piece suite with widescreen TV with satellite, DVD and PS1. The complex can provide Z-beds if required for a small extra charge. There is a large 6 seater dining suite for family dining.
Other: For your convenience the apartment has parasol, cool box, ice packs, tupperware boxes, emergency torch, ironing board, airer, DVD collection, CD music, paperback swap, hangers and bedside clocks.
Cleaning/towels/

All bedlinen and towels are provided excluding beach towels. The apartment is cleaned prior to your arrival and interim cleaning and fresh towels may be requested from the on-site management upon your arrival for a small extra charge.

 

Notes on accommodation
The apartment is primarily our own holiday accommodation and so it comes equipped with far more home-comforts than you might expect from other self catering accommodation. We like to think that we have presented it so that it feels like home and note a barren, empty flat with no soul. We hope that you enjoy staying here as much as we do.

Outside
There are large patios front, side and rear. The patio to the front of the apartment is shaded and leads onto a walled lawn. The patio to the rear overlooks the pool and has views to the sea. There is an outdoor dining suite with 4 chairs and also a comfy, wicker, 4 seater, patio set with coffee table for those long, lazy evenings. The pool nearby is shared only between the adjacent apartments. It is equipped with loungers and parasols. Also on-site are a further 2 communal pools should you fancy a change. There is a shared drive for off-road parking.

Coast/Beach
The apartment is 2 km from the coast with an unspoilt beach. Up and down the coast there are numerous beaches offering varying degrees of services from none at all to those providing sun-beds, bar, restaurant and water sports.

Golf
Newly opened 18 hole golf course 45 minutes drive away at Esentepe.

Travel
It is possible to fly into Ercan in the North of Cyprus or into Larnaca in the South. Transit times are 1 and 2 hours respectively. A car is advisable to explore the island. Hire cars from the South are allowed into the North side but not vice versa. There are a number of locations through which to cross the border. Airport transfers and car hire can be arranged if you require.

The apartment is located on the new resort village of Hilltop, Safa Koy. In addition to our pool which is shared only between the adjacent properties, there are a further 2 communal pools for your use should you fancy a change. There is a bar/coffee-shop/resturant on site and landscaped gardens surround. Hilltop is approximately 2km to the unspoilt beaches and 25 minute walk to the small village of Bogaz which has bars, restaurants, cafes and beaches. Bogaz is located near to the unspoilt area of the Karpas Peninsula with beautiful beaches, drives and walks. Salamis ruins, a ruined roman city, is a short drive away.

About the owner
Dear All, we hope that you will enjoy using our apartment. Although we are biased, we feel that our apartment offers more than your average holiday let because it is our own holiday home. We have filled it with, hopefully, everything that you should need during your holiday that you normally wouldn't find. This is simply because we use all of the items ourselves. A little bit about us, I am in the forces and my wife Fiona is a domestic engineer and full time Mother. We do our very best to ensure that everything runs smoothly for your holiday and, touch wood, have not had any complaints from our previous guests. A friend of ours who lives next door looks after the apartment for us and will see you safely in and is on hand to help with any problems or questions.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
They say that the TRNC is like Spain was 40 years ago. The area is certainly unspoilt. It is still very easy to find magnificent isolation on numerous secluded beaches up and down the coast. We bought here primarily because we spent 3 years here during a posting to RAF Akrotiri. We found it easy to become sucked in. We loved the country so much that when we came to leave we felt that buying a small place here would seem to be a way of prolonging our tour. We were very lucky with the property that we ended up with. It is certainly the best appointed. The view across the pool from the patio is worth a million dollars.

Unique benefits of the property
Previously we have stayed in self catering apartments that came equipped with a saucepan and a fish-slice. We have provided considerably more equipment than that. For us the apartment is home from home. We hope that it will be for you too.
