A full range of sporting and leisure facilities are within easy reach.
Further details
Sveti Lovrec is just 3km away and lies on a hill with a wonderful view over tame fields, vineyards, olive groves and the sea in the distance. Its name goes back to the 6th century and stems from the Church of Sv. Lovro (Saint Lawrence). It's not all idyllic views, churches and history, you will also find shops for basic groceries, a bar, cafe and pizzeria. Porec is the well known tourist centre of Istria. The old part of the town is built on a small peninsula separated from the mainland by a canal, and protected from the open sea by the island of Sveti Nikola. The popular beaches “Plava laguna” and “Zelena laguna” are located to the south and offer a variety of water sports. The old town is absolutely beautiful with a plethora of restaurants, bars, cafes and ice-cream parlours. There are farmers markets where you can buy local produce (olive oil, bread, meat, fruit, honey, truffles etc.) and various festivals throughout the year provide plenty of entertainment. Porec is a popular ‘resort’ however it still looks and feels rustic and remains true to its history with some outstanding architecture. The Café Bar Torre Rotonda (round tower) is a great spot for a sun downer. Rovinj is another beautiful Croatian walled town built on a small peninsula. Architecturally it looks very similar to Porec - located on small peninsula, surrounded by sea with its historic centre (modelled on Venice). Rovinj offers a whole range of visitor opportunities in a picturesque ambience of the ancient town, surrounded by dense pine forests. The medieval hill towns of Motovun and Groznjan (our favourite) are within a short drive (30 minutes) as is Pula, home to the 6th largest amphitheatre in the world.

"We had a great time at Casita 1 and will definitely be recommending it to all our friends. The cottage was fantastic - really bright, clean and modern but with a lovely traditional charm. We'll have to come back again!"
"The villas was gorgeous, as was Croatia itself! A lot of time was spent lazing by the pool but we did take a drive to the Baredine Cave and a boat trip around some of the islands. Definitely wasn't very happy about leaving that's for sure!"
