The house is set in an ancient Roman quarry and is not overlooked. It faces west so is cooler in the morning. Although a 2 apartment house we let to one group only at a time. The second, upstairs unit can be added on for groups over 5 or so. Ideal for 2 families holidaying together. 10 mins to main swimming beach and moorings. 10 mins to ancient Roman town of Pula, with arena, theatre, and daily produce market. Large peaceful garden backing onto primal woodland. Convenient for a wide range of restaurants, bars, clubs, discos etc, good for teenagers. More info see website.

Notes on accommodation
Wonderfully safe place for teenagers with good night life. Hidden and tranquil.
Outside
Beautiful pool, 7m x 5m, with sun loungers and lit at night. Barbecues on upstairs terrace and downstairs patio, ample space to eat out both up and downstairs and by pool. Informal gardens surrounded by farm and woods. Very quiet and private.
Coast/Beach
15 mins walk good stony beach with (clarity of water amazing). Many other more hidden beaches and endless islands. Brijoni islands nature reserve and Tito's palace island not far. Day trip to Venice.
Special interest holidays
Wayfarer and topper dinghies available for super sailing, if qualified or experience proven. Extra payment to be negotiated for use of boats.
Travel
Pula airport 7km - Ryanair flies in 3 times a week, Croatian Air once a week in summer, Thomson (Gatwick and Bristol) etc
Distances
10 mins drive to historic Pula with arena (open air concerts, film festival etc). Large daily market fish, meat, fruit and vegetables. Good shopping, restaurants, etc. Several supermarkets within 10 minute drive.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Having travelled all over Europe I came across this extraordinary place. Fell into a sleep and woke, decision made. It retains for me what I can only describe as good Karma.
Unique benefits of the property
The essence of Cave Romana is seclusion and some sort of historical connection to an earlier time through its use of stone and the surrounding primeval woods.
Also very handy for Roman Pula, shops and beaches.
The Croatian people are very practical and friendly.
