This is traditional fisherman's house, simple and with character; a place that offers summer activities or a seaside rest. A beach terrace forms the focal point for bathing and barbecue. The house sleeps 8 and is safe for babies and small children. The bay is accessible by sea and road, with Hvar town 10 minutes away. Parking is 300m above the house. A vineyard forms the back of the property.

Notes on accommodation
Water is a cistern system so using the minimum is important. Bottled drinking water is recommended.

There is a small, simple restaurant on the beach for lunch. All amenities (supermarket etc.) are available in Hvar town.

About the owner
I am French, married to a local Croatian. After 16 years in the Caribbean, I left the island of St Barth for Hvar without any regrets. My pleasure is to welcome my guests in a house with a soul and guide them throughout their stay, helping you discover the authentic facets of the island life.
Why the owner chose a home in this location
Hvar island is charming, full of traditional hideaways and undiscovered historical places. There is so much to explore, even after living here for years.
Stiniva is a secluded bay, with Brusje the closest village. It was a contraband port and is the only bay with a pier from the Austro-Hungarian era.
It's a beautiful protected bay with sea and land access. Most of the houses are lived in by local people and only a few are rented. A fisherman can grill you some fish for lunch, very simple and effective. Kayaks are available for rental, also small sailboats. There's a sense of privacy but you are also part of a small community.

We have the only house with a terrace to lounge on right on the beach, just a few steps from the sea.
The house is only 4 km from Hvar town (10 minutes by car) which is the center of island nightlife.
Until mid-morning and in the evening, the beach is completely yours to enjoy.
The location is very safe for babies and small children. The house can comfortably sleep 8 people. There are 4 bedrooms: 3 with double beds and 1 with 2 single beds. The large living room opens onto the terrace and the ample kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and oven.
There are 2 bathrooms, one full and one half. The outdoor barbecue gets a lot of summer use!
