It was built in the 18th century by a local sea captain and is very spacious (200sqm of internal sapce). Just 3 minutes walk from the sea, this is an ideal location for secluded relaxation, water-sports and other outdoor activities. Medieval Korcula is just across the straits while beautiful Ston and Dubrovnik are easy day trips.

All bed linen (Egyptian cotton throughout) and towels are included in the price as is a full cleaning and linen service at the end of your holiday. More frequent cleaning services can be arranged at the time of your booking. |

Notes on accommodation
All bedrooms have both heating and air-conditioning. The accommodation is suitable for children with a cot and high chair provided for infants. Satellite television is provided to allow you to receive CNN, SkyNews, a couple of children's channels and a couple of sports channels.
Accessibility
The villa is located in a small hamlet of about 12 houses built during the 18th century and connected by old stone streets, many of which contain steps. Access to the villa is by a 100m walk from the road up an ancient stone path. This is not suitable for wheelchair access, nor for people with walking difficulties.
Outside
There are 3 interlinked terraces and a stone balcony on the top floor. There are stunning panoramic views from each.
The garden area is made up of two large stone terraces. One has a private, 7m x 4m fresh-water, in-ground swimming pool with more than ample surrounding terrace area for sunbathing.
Coast/Beach
3 minute walk to the beach. Numerous water sports (wind surfing, kite-surfing, scuba diving, sailing) available all within a 10 minute drive.
Travel
Dubvovnik Airport is a 2 hour drive. Car hire is available at the airport, or a taxi costs approximately £100 return.
Distances
Local village (Viganj) with mini-market, bars and restaurants is a few minutes walk. Local town (Orebic) with markets, supermarkets, banks, and ferry-port to Korcula is 8km (10 mins drive).

I live in England with my wife and 2 children. My wife and I both work, but spend many of our holidays, Summer and Winter, in Croatia, where we have made many friends and have really fallen in love with the country.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We bought the property because of its convenience to get to, with the increasing number of direct air links to the UK, and because of the stunning views. Also, as a 300 year old property, it's pretty unique.
Unique benefits of the property
We love the Viganj area because of its outstanding natural beauty, crystal clear sea and quality of food which seems to get better and better each time we go back. It's also a particularly safe area which is important to us with two small children.
