Villa Ana, located on the edge of the peaceful village of Dracevac, is a 3 bedroom, detached villa with a private swimming pool on a small development of 6 villas. The adjoining countryside with its fields, vineyards and olive groves, reflects the simple charm of the area. Villa Ana accommodates 6 people very comfortably. There is a spacious, airy, open plan living area. A large, covered, south facing terrace overlooks the pool and garden and is perfect for alfresco dining. The east facing terrace is ideal for catching the early morning sun and provides a shady spot in the afternoon. The villa has 1 double bedroom, 2 twin bedrooms, a family bathroom and a shower room. The villa is a 10 minute drive from the coast and the picturesque, historic town of Porec. There is an exciting choice of restaurants offering traditional Istrian dishes and fresh local seafood, located a few minutes drive away. Changeover day
Changeover day is typically Tuesday enabling guests to take advantage of cheaper midweek flights to Pula. However we try to be flexible where possible.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 with a king size bed and French doors opening onto the sunny east facing terrace. Bedroom 2 with twin beds overlooking the pool and open countryside. Bedroom 3 with twin beds. |

| Kitchen: | Open plan kitchen with dishwasher, electric hob and oven, extractor, fridge/freezer. Fully equipped. |
| Living Rooms: | There is a spacious, high ceilinged, open-plan living area with large L-shaped sofa, table and chairs. A TV (NB Not satellite, for DVDs only), DVD player and board games. Two pairs of doors open onto the covered terrace overlooking the swimming pool. |

Bed linen and bathroom towels are provided. Villa Ana is cleaned once a week when towels and bed linen are changed. |

Notes on accommodation
Due to the depth of the unfenced swimming pool and steps down from the terrace we do not consider this villa suitable for toddlers and children under the age of four. We regret no pets. Villa Ana is a non smoking villa.
Outside
A covered terrace overlooks the private swimming pool (8 x 4 x 1.3m) and views across open countryside. There is a south facing patio around the pool and a large barbecue. Sun loungers and outside tables and chairs are provided. There is a gated drive, providing parking for 2 cars. The gardens around the villa have recently been landscaped.
Coast/Beach
Beautiful beaches of pebble and stone with crystal clear water are located in small coves along the coast within a 10 to 15 minute drive.
Tucked between pine forests and olive groves are the tourist resorts of Zelena Laguna and Plava Laguna.
Golf
For the more adventurous there is an eco-friendly, 18 hole, golf course on the island of Brijuni. A short boat trip from the mainland.
A new 18 hole golf course, near Umag (about 50kms), part of the new Kempinski Hotel complex, looks quite challenging!
Travel
Pula - 40 mins (Ryanair, Thompsonfly).
Trieste - 1hr 45 mins (Ryanair).
Ljublijana - 2hrs 45 mins (EasyJet).
Venice - 2hrs 45 mins (Ryanair, Thomsonfly, EasyJet).
Car hire is essential.

Porec- 6th century Basilica, marina- 10 mins.
Vrsar- beaches, marina- 15 mins.
Limski Kanal- Lim Fjord renowned for its mussels- 20 mins.
Baredine caves- a series of limestone caverns- 20mins.
Rovinj- a picture perfect medieval port- 30 mins.
Motovun - a fortified hill town famous for its truffles- 40 mins.
Groznjan- medieval hilltop village with artist studios -40mins.
Pula- Roman Amphitheatre, staging summer concerts- 40 mins.
Venice- from Porec, daily return on FastCat ferry- 2hrs.
Further details
There are extensive sporting facilities nearby, catering for all the family. These include water skiing, scuba diving, sailing, an aqua playground, tennis courts, horse riding, mini-golf, quad biking, gym and an indoor swimming pool. A cycle route links Villa Ana with Porec and the coast. The well marked bike paths make cycling an excellent way to experience the gently rolling countryside.
There is an exciting choice of restaurants offering traditional dishes of grilled fish and meat, specialities prepared under a coal-covered metal lid (peka), the famed Istrian truffles as well as international cuisine. Most restaurants offer menus in English.
The old town of Porec with its maze of narrow, cobbled streets is a delight for you to explore. It has a bustling market selling fresh, locally grown organic produce. At night, the town comes alive. It abounds with restaurants, bars, clubs, ice-cream parlours and the occasional street performers.
