The family owned and architect re-designed villa is in an elevated position 8-10 minutes walk from the sea and has stunning views down the channel between Korcula and Peljesac and to other islands nearby. The villa was fully renovated in 2005 and is very spacious internally, at 210sqm. All 4 bedrooms are large with lovely sea views and there are 3 shower/wet rooms (one en-suite). There are 3 terraces to the front (one for dining and others for lounging) and Mount Illijah lies directly behind. The area is perfect for numerous water sports, outdoor activities, relaxing and culinary pleasures. Dubrovnik is a 2-hour drive away. Prices are in UK Pounds, for the whole villa for seven nights.
Changeover day
We generally book Saturday to Saturday and we request checkout for 10am/11am. The villa is then cleaned and ready for the next guests from 4pm.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 is a double room (5x4m) with an en-suite shower room. Bedroom 2 is a double room (5x4m). Bedroom 3 is a triple room (5x4m). Bedroom 4 is another double room (5x3.5m). |
| Bathrooms: | Bedroom 1 has an en-suite shower/wet room and WC. There are 2 more shower room/wet rooms and WC's. |
| Kitchen: | The kitchen is equipped for cooking for 10 people, with oven and hob, microwave. Stone built barbeque on top terrace. |
| Utility Room: | The utility room has a washing machine and the pantry has a fridge/freezer, dishwasher and storage. |
| Living Rooms: | The living room measures 6x5m and contains a huge built-in sofa/daybed and TV, DVD, satellite and stereo. The dining room is 6x5m and has dining table and chairs for 10 people. |
| Other: | There is a wide hallway/room on the 1st floor with space for sitting and reading. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
We provide full linen and beach towels and the villa is cleaned weekly and all linen is changed weekly. |

Outside
There are 3 terraces at the front of the villa: a stone top terrace, a second stone terrace and a garden terrace. The living room opens through glass doors onto the stone top terrace with dining table and chairs for 10 people. There is also a BBQ on the top terrace as well as loungers and recliners. At the back of the villa is a stone terrace area.
Coast/Beach
It is a 8-10 min walk down to the sea, where swimming is possible, (10-15 back up!) with the nearest beach a 10-15 min walk. That beach is a popular kite surfing and windsurfing beach with relaxed restaurant adjacent and there are other beaches nearby.
Travel
Dubrovnik airport is a two-hour drive from Villa Philomena, and Split airport a four-hour drive. In order to make the most of your trip, we recommend that you hire a car. All the main car hire companies have desks at Dubrovnik and Split airports. We will provide you with driving directions upon booking. For further travel info, follow the link to our website.
Ferries and catamarans sail to Korcula Island from Dubrovnik, Hvar, Split, Brac etc. with links to Orebic (10 mins drive to villa).
Distances
Orebic town is 4 miles (7km) from the villa. Korcula Island is a 15min ferry ride from Orebic or Kuciste and has a charming Old Venetian Town. Loviste is a 15min drive from the villa.

We provide full details of local shops, restaurants, activities, banks, maps, travel etc in advance of your visit as well as in our guestbook at the villa. We are also happy to answer questions by email or telephone.
Booking notes
If booking more than 60 days in advance, a £500.00 booking deposit is payable within 10 days of booking. 50% of the rental fee and damage deposit is payable four months prior to the start of the rental period, with the balance no less than 60 days prior to the start of the rental period.
If booking less than 60 days in advance, the rental fee and damage deposit is payable in full within 10 days booking.
