Bol is frequently voted Best Tourist Destination in Croatia! Apartment Santamaria is in a small building a short walk from all Bol's amenities and beaches. It has 2 bedrooms and an open-plan kitchen/living area with table and chairs, sofabed, TV, DVD player, washing machine and microwave. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering. Fabulous sea views from the main bedroom and the living area, with balcony and seating. Floors are fully tiled as is the bathroom. There are two excellent restaurants within 50m and a supermarket within 100m. It makes a great base for exploring everything Bol has to offer, being situated at an equal distance from both the town and the world-famous Zlatni Rat beach. It is also a short walk from Bol's amazing tennis facilities - 26 clay courts in a beautiful setting. Accessibility
There are 4 steps from the entrance to the front door. There are 8 steps from the front door of the building to the door of the apartment.
Outside
Balcony has table and chairs to enjoy the views whilst sipping an aperitif!
Coast/Beach
Bol village lines the sea front and there are many beaches along the length of the town. The most popular is Zlatni Rat, a pebble promontory beach backed with pine woods. The apartment is approximately 400m from the sea and approx 15-20min walk from Zlatni Rat. All beaches are very clean and very safe, as swimmers are always separated from any watersports.
Travel
The most common way to reach Bol is to fly to Split Airport on the mainland, transfer to the Harbour, and then take a boat to Brac Island. We are also happy to help you plan your journey. A car is not necessary once in Bol, although there is parking provided for one car at the apartment. Distances
The centre of Bol is 10min walk.
The other main town on Brac Island is Supetar which is worth a daytrip for shopping and sightseeing. It is approx 35-40min by bus or car.
The city of Split is magnificent and well worth a trip. It can be reached by catamaran from Bol (1 hour).
Further details
Bol has many restaurants, bars and cafes and a number of boutiques. There are several banks which often offer a better rate of exchange than you will find in the UK, and there are a number of cashpoints. Supermarkets and pharmacies are well-stocked and open long hours.
Booking notes
Prices are for 4 persons; please contact us for 5. Towels + weekly cleaning included. Check in/checkout times by arrangement. £200 deposit guarantees booking; returned after departure. Full payment for stay is made on arrival in Croatian Kuna at the rate of exchange of Croatian National Bank on day of payment. There is also tourist tax of between 0.6 and 1 Euro per person per day, and a one-off registration fee of 1.5 Euros per person, again payable in Kuna.

About the owner
John and Catherine Santamaria, a married couple in our 30s, part Welsh, part Italian, part English and now a little Croatian!
We now have a young daughter and having visited the apartment with her in summer 2010 when she was 10 months old we can happily say both the apartment and Bol are very child friendly.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We first visited Bol in 2004 for a summer holiday and fell in love with the place immediately. We are keen tennis players, who love sun and good food so Bol is perfect for us! We realised our dream when we bought the apartment in 2008 and love to bring friends to discover Croatia too.
Unique benefits of the property
The apartment is 10 minutes walk from the centre of Bol which means it is very peaceful. Bol gets quite lively in season so more central apartments can be a bit noisy. It has also fabulous 180 degree views as the area around it is not very built-up. It is on the same side of town as the tennis courts which is essential for us!
