Notes on accommodation
The house has been built to an extremely high standard with remote control air-conditioning, tiled bathrooms and solid wood flooring. Window shutters on windows allow protection from the sun as well as giving privacy. Central heating allows accommodation outside the high rental season.
Outside
8 x 4m private swimming pool, sun loungers, pool room with shower facilities. A gated driveway gives secure parking.
Coast/Beach
The property is approximately a 10 minute drive from the cove of Tarska Draga, below Tar, with a small fishing village and highly recommended fish restaurant. Also within 10 minutes is the Lanterna Peninsula, rich in Mediterranean vegetation and well maintained beaches and good snorkeling.
Travel
Trieste airport in Italy (Ryanair) is 90 minutes drive. Pula airport is 40 minute drive with direct flights from Glasgow/Edinburgh, Manchester, Gatwick, and Stansted. From Porec, a catamaran to Venice takes approx 2.5 hours. Car hire is highly recommended to explore the stunning Istrian scenery and to enjoy its much and varied history and gastronomy.
Distances
Restaurants and shops are within a few minutes walk. Close by is the vast playground of the Adriatic coastline with opportunities for swimming, windsurfing, water skiing, diving, table tennis, volleyball, go-carting etc. Inland is horse riding. In addition the house is well positioned as a base from which to visit the famous Roman towns of Porec and Pula, the medieval hill top villages of Motovun and Groznjan, the Venetian built promontory of Rovinj and the Austro Hapsburgian town of Opatija.
