A lovely restored Croatian stone cottage in peaceful hill village on fabulous Hvar Island. This cottage designed for outdoor living with courtyard and BBQ area is ideal for summer enjoyment. The 1 bedroom cottage has all the modern comforts. Vrbanj village has 2 cafes, convenient shops and post office. Bus and taxis connect you with all of Hvar Island & ferries. Hire cars, scooters, boats and bikes can be arranged. With views to Brac Island and Croatian coast, this old stone village is close to many stunning beaches among the sheltered inlets (several naturist). Hvar Island is prized for its lavender fields, pine forests and vineyards. Croatia's rocky coast and crystal clear waters make it a swimming, diving and snorkeling paradise. Local activities include hiking, cycling, windsurfing, kayaking, or country village exploring. Hvar town is known for its jet-set lifestyle but other towns also offer lively venues. Enjoy people watching from any of the cafes in the vibrant plazas.

Notes on accommodation
We regret that the house is not suitable for pets. A car or scooter is recommended for ease of exploring this wonderful island of Hvar. rental information can be arranged prior to arrival if requested.

There is a comfortable shared courtyard area with BBQ and stove plus dining table and seating for 4 people. Enjoy romantic evenings dining under our grape arbored courtyard.

There are numerous swimming choices. From pine sheltered coves to rocky outcroppings, this island's diverse coastline is a paradise for swimming, sunning, snorkeling or exploring the coastal paths from one inlet to another. The sea here is incredibly clean and clear!

Nearest airport Split - 30km, nearest ferry port Starigrad - 4km, car or scooter hire is recommended.
Distances
All villages and towns are only a few kms away. Enjoy people watching on the vibrant plazas with their many cafes or explore the historic churches and town halls. Hvar town is 26 kms.
Further details
Local restaurants are great and not expensive. There are many family run Konoba restaurants offering local produce and wine with their traditional menus. Outdoor cafes and bars can be found everywhere. Besides the fresh fruit and vegetable market, other shops in Jelsa & Starigrad include newsagents, supermarkets, butchers, pharmacy, post office, bank, bakeries etc. Local activities include diving, swimming, tennis, walking, sailing, cycling, mountain biking, fishing and windsurfing. There are many laid out cycling and hiking routes for the enthusiasts!

Bookings more than 2 months prior to arrival - 30% deposit required at time of booking, remainder to be paid 8 weeks before arrival. Bookings less than 2 months prior to arrival - 100% to be paid at time of booking. We advise guests to cover risk of cancellation in their own holiday insurance.
