There is a private pool (5x3m), sun loungers, BBQ, upper and lower terraces, and superb views.
Coast/Beach
The sea is about 15 minutes walk away. The water is crystal clear and very safe for bathing as there is very little tidal flow and the sea is generally calm.
Special interest holidays
The local area provides lots of opportunities for wine tasting, walking and sports. The local area has some notable history and local fauna and flora is very diverse. Viganj is a venue for the European Windsurfing championships and there is plenty of opportunity for water sports including kitesurfing, diving, canoeing and wakeboarding/ waterskiing.
Travel
The nearest airport is Dubrovnik which is approx. 2 hours away. Split is 4 hours drive. Car hire at the airport is highly recommended as the surroundings are wonderful for exploring.
Distances
The nearest restaurant is 2 minutes walk away and highly recommended. A local ferry runs to Korcula only a short walk from the Villas where further ferries can be caught to the island national park of Miljet and the beautiful city of Dubrovnik. Viganj has several neighbouring villages which offer a range of restaurants and bars that all serve delicious local produce and fish caught on the day, together with excellent local wine.
Further details
Orebic 7km drive, is the nearest main town with banks (cash machines) supermarkets etc. The area is a mecca for sports including kite and windsurfing, diving, watersports, mountain biking.

About the owner
Hi, I'm Bruce and I moved to Croatia in 2004 to renovate these two villas from stone ruins to the properties they are today. I spent 3 very eventful years living in Viganj with some very good and also hard times! Although unfortunately I've had to rejoin the rat race I love going back and catching up with friends and seeing how the area is slowly changing while still retaining its wonderful character and beautiful nature. I now live in London with my girlfriend and love travelling, snowboarding, windsurfing and kitesurfing, the last two being wonderful pursuits in Viganj!

Why the owner chose a home in this location
I travelled extensively in Croatia looking for the best combination of climate, activities and peaceful beauty. Old stone houses are very difficult to buy and I was very lucky to get these two in a unique position, private but close to the sea and amenities.
Unique benefits of the property
Many of the locals tell me that I have one of the best views in the area, and I am constantly improving the properties as permissions and land become available. The properties are away from the crowds but only a short walk to the hustle and bustle of the sea front. Also unlike many big villas which cater for large parties having two attached villas enable groups or families travelling together to have some privacy while still enjoying socialising on the large terrace.
