This is an air conditioned apartment on the third floor in a secure development. Open plan kitchen / living room. Looking out over a quiet bay and a protected natural park. A sandy beach is a short way away. It has a fully fitted kitchen, air-conditioning, TV and satellite. Close to restaurants, bars and shops.

1 double sofa bed and 1 single sofa bed. Bed clothes, sheets, covers and pillows supplied. Large wardrobe for clothes and suitcases.
Bathrooms: Luxury tiled bathroom with shower, toilet, sink, mixer taps, bidet, water heater, vanity unit, extract fan, towel rack with towels supplied. Very clean and kept to a high standard.
Kitchen: Fully fitted kitchen new in 2008. Plenty of storage space in drawers and presses. Gas/electric hob. Microwave/grill, fridge with small freezer, hood and extractor fan. Cutlery, glasses and delf supplied. Pots, frying pan, kettle and mats.
Living Rooms: Large L shaped sofa bed, pull out sofa bed, flat screen TV, satellite receiver (200 channel), DVD and CD player, Glass TV stand, glass coffee table, wall pictures.
Other: Fully tiled balcony with sea views (in sun all day). Circular table and chairs on balcony. Water heater. Multi opening doors to balcony. Roller shutters. Air conditioning unit.

Cleaned after each stay. All linen and towels picked up and washed weekly. Communal rubbish area at end of complex.

Notes on accommodation
Apartment in a private secure complex. Granite flooring in communal areas with stainless steel banisters in each apartment block. Door entry phone fitted. 15 apartments in each block. Each apartment finish is unique and finished with a modern style and to very high standard. The complex is maintained to a high standard by the caretaker. Sensor and timer lighting used in the common areas for higher safety and security. There is a flat screen TV, DVD player with satellite reception with plenty of English language channels for chilling out or catching up on news and sports. Remote controlled air conditioning and external roller shutters on windows to keep cool. Thermally insulated, double glazing and multi-opening doors to balcony. Terracotta floor tiles. Appliances and furniture are new in 2008 and kept in first class condition so would ask anyone renting to help maintain this standard for everyone’s enjoyment. Accessibility
Apartment is on the third floor up 2 flights of stairs. Extra wide stairwell with storage underneath for items such as bikes. There is no lift.

Outside
Large communal area runs parallel with the marina with beautiful views of the bay. Private parking. Barbecue area. Easy access to marina at apartment entrance.
There is a cafe/bar and a shop outside the entrance to the apartments. Just up from the apartment are all you could need: bank, garage, supermarket, restaurants, bars, rental shops (boats, cars, bikes, excursions, watersports equipment).There has been a delay on installing a private swimming pool due to planning permission.

Coast/Beach
Direct beach access from the apartment. Most of the beaches and small coves are quite rocky. About 5 minutes walk away is the sandy beach Bijeca. This is ideal for small children, and very safe. The water is very shallow and great for swimming and water sports and there are water slides for the kids.

Golf
Driving range 2km outside Medulin on main road to Pula.

Special interest holidays
Water sports available at nearby beaches including sailing, water-skiing, jet-ski rental, windsurfing (very popular), Kite surfing (very popular), karting, parasailing.

Travel
14km from Pula airport (cost about 20 pound in taxi or car rental available from airport). Direct flights to Pula are available from London Gatwick (Thomson), London Stansted (Ryanair), Birmingham (Thomson) and Manchester (Thomson and Jet2). 126km from Trieste airport. 126km from Rijeka airport. Car hire is not essential every day certainly not if staying in medulin but I recommend for travelling round surrounding areas such as the historic city of Pula and beaches outside Medulin.

Distances
Walking distance to Medulin village with all local amenities including shops, bars, restaurants, banks, Medulin marina, Medulin beach and Kamp Medulin. 7km from the historical city of Pula, best known for its many surviving ancient Roman buildings, the most famous of which is it's first century amphitheatre, sixth largest in the world and locally known as the Arena. Which hosts outdoor events and concerts.

Further details
James Joyce cafe in Pula - good Irish style coffee house. Well worth a visit for a coffee or a drink with a lovely warm atmosphere. Kamp Medulin- a large holiday camp less than 10 minute walk. Where there is always something happening, there is Shark Diving Center where there is diving lessons and rental, kitesurfing, boats, pedal boats, water slide, wind surfing, amusements and different events. Casinos-there is a small casino in Medulin and a free bus is available to and from the Las Vegas Casino - one of the largest casinos in Istria. Pula- historic Roman city with Roman ruins and amphitheatre, large local market, huge port and shipworks, loads of cafes tourist friendly area. Many beaches along the coast line well worth renting a car and travelling to different beaches. Boat trips from Pula to islands and Italy to tour cities like Venice.

A perfect spot with fantastic views across the harbour and the balcony meant you could watch the sun set with a cold glass of something. Comfortable clean accommodation made this a great base to explore Medulin and the surrounding areas (August 2009).
