The crisp, fresh tone of this award winning stonehouse romantic 4-bedroom villa is immediately set by the dark brown shutters, chaperoning each window. Inside, this colour is replicated on the kitchen unit facings manifesting a continuity of design further complemented by terracotta tiled flooring, wooden ceilings, exposed feature stone walls and quality contemporary furnishings. Self-catering villa with cosy and romantic Italian contemporary and warm furniture allows everybody to recreate privately - the fireplace in the spacious living room lets you lean back and relax. Outside, relax under one of the two covered terraces hemmed of a hundred year old olive tree. Or simply use the lawned grounds and private pool area (9m x 5m) with Roman steps as private viewpoints from which to admire the incredible vista ahead. In recognition of its superior build quality and design the architect of this won 'Best Property in Croatia' in the 2006 Bentley Property Awards.

Also the pool and relax area can be accessed via a broad and comfortable staircase from there. A sense of space enhanced by vaulted wooden ceilings and pine floorboards once again prevails throughout this level.
Outside, relax under one of the two covered terraces hemmed of a hundred year old olive tree or simply use the third terrace or lawned grounds and pool area.

Further details
Built of the finest reclaimed Istrian stone this spacious, light and airy house enjoys the most privileged, elevated position facing inland standing over neatly manicured battalions of olive trees and grapevines. Spreading out before you is a breathtaking sweep of hills overlooking the Mirna Valley, punctuated by the hilltop medieval strongholds of Groznjan, Motuvun, Buje and Buzet in the distance and – last but not least the marvellous sea. Sovinjac is located right between the cosy east coast and the nice west coast. Unquestionably, this is quintessential Istria.
Just around the corner you may find several high end restaurants offering not only tartuffo and extraordinary wine and other specialities of the Istrian region at a famous quality.
Only a few nice places to go close nearby:
Groznjansko Glazbeno Ljeto (Groznjan Music Summer)
Head north to the medieval hilltop town of Groznjan. Since 1969 the town has been the International Cultural Centre of Musical Youth. Strolling around Groznjan at any time of year, you're certain to hear the echo of music being practiced or performed whilst from the beginning of June through to the end of September there are many evening jazz and classical concerts.
Groznjan is a great destination for a lazy lunch and a wander
It affords wonderful views out to sea or inland towards the Ucka Mountains, or north to the Julian Alps but was abandoned by its mainly Italian inhabitants after World War II. 20 years later, it was re-established by a number of artists and craftsmen who exhibit their work in their studios and shops. Pictures, drawings, pottery ceramics, hand made jewellery and other crafts are displayed in abundance.
Vizinada offers a mini market and café bar, the Monte Carlo. But stroll down into the old town for stunning views across to Motovun and look inside the Romanesque church of St Barnabus which dates from the 12th century.
