Newly renovated, all the six apartments of the villa are air conditioned, tastefully furnished and have stunning sea views. The villa is centrally located in a lovely village which offers all the amenities. There are restaurants within minutes walk in either direction and plenty of water sports like wind surfing in the nearby village of Viganj. There is also kayaking, sailing, walking, trekking, cycling and fishing. Our guests can laze the days away sipping the local wine while relaxing on the coverd veranda on the ground floor or the terrace on the first floor. Second floor apartments have balconies. The top floor apartment has stunning views from all the windows and patio doors including the bedrooms. There is some night life, Viganj has a disco, there is a nightclub in Korcula and the local hotels offer entertainment in the evening. Orebic has many shops and restaurants and ferry services to the island of Korcula opposite to visit the historic Old Town.

Notes on prices
The prices include consumption of water and electricity, bed linen, towels, use of sun desk and sunumbrellas, tail end and the tourist tax.
Discounts are available for periods over two weeks in April, May and October. The whole villa may be let to large groups or extended families at a special price.

Changeover day
We are fairly flexible on changeover day. Guests may arrive after 2.00 pm to give us time to have apartments ready. The guest are required to vacate the apartment by 12 noon. However we would always try and accommodate our guests where ever possible.
Notes on accommodation
All the air conditioning units in the villa are dual purpose and can be used to provide both heating and cooling.
There are hot water boilers in the bathroom and in the kitchen. The bathroom hot water is switched ON at the switch outside.
Each apartment has a kettle. An iron or a hoover can be provided on request. The towels are changed mid week and the beds are changed weekly and the apartment cleaned weekly. Cleaning equipment is provided for the guests to carry out some light day to day cleaning if the wish. A clothes dryer is provided and guests may use the back garden to dry items of clothing.
The villa is safe for children, the stairs are fitted with safety caps and all the patio doors and windows are designed to tilt open rather than open wide. French windows on the top floor may be tilted open for extra safety if young children are staying.
The sea and the beach area is very safe. Very young children may need to be supervised as there is a road outside the villa.
Accessibility
There are steps leading to the first, second and third floor. The ground floor could offer suitable accommodation for someone with minor mobility problems as there are few doors to manouver and no staircases to climb.
Outside
The Villa has a secluded pier in front, which offers a large terrace type area with lovely views, close to the water. there are sunbeds provided.
The villa does not have a pool at present, but the sea is on your doorstep and the water is lovely and clear. Guests can use the small beach area to go in and out of the sea. There is mooring available for small boats and guests can arrive by private boat directly at the villa.
The car park has parking places for six cars. There is a communal terrace to the left of the villa with a barbecue. There is also a garden at the back with loungers and sun beds for the use of all the guests.
The covered veranda downstairs is for the private use of the ground floor apartment guests. The front terrace and the right terrace on the first floor are for private use of first floor apartment guests.
There is an outside shower in the ground floor compound for the use of all the guests.
Coast/Beach
The sea is on your door step with easy access to the water on one side of the pier and rock pools which offer a great deal of enjoyment to childeren on the other. There is a much longer streach of beach less than 10 minutes walk away.
The water is usually calm in the morning and the wind picks up in the afternoon when the windsurfers come out in force in the channel between the mainland and the island.
The water is safe, crystal clear with no strong currents or waves, almost like a lake.
Travel
The shortest Travel time to Villa Perna is to arrive at Dubrovnik airport and travel by road. It would be advisable to hire a car if you wish to explore this lovely area. Travelling by car, at about 40 miles per hour, will take you about two hours to get to Perna. It is advisable to make a stop at historic Mali Stone or Stone for a short break before proceeding.
Alternatively you could take a private transfer car which will pick you up at the airport. We can arrange this for you.
Distances
10 mins left of Perna is the village of Viganj. 5 min drive up the village into the hillside is Sveti IIja monastry. Orebic the nearest big town is 5 minutes drive or 15 mins walk to the right of Perna. Korcula Old Town is a 10 min boat ride away.
Stone, a historic town, at the beginning of Peninsula, is about an hours drive away. Dubrovnik is about 2.5 hours away by fast passenger boat and just under 2 hours by car. Islands of Mijet and Havar are also about 2 hours boat ride away.
Further details
The village of Viganj has a burgeoning windsurfing scene. There is a windsurfing and scuba diving school here. A trek or drive to the Sveti IIja Monastery above the village, offering a stunning ariel view of the area, is highly reccomended. There is a restaurant further up from the monastery where you can have lunch whilst enjoying the lovely views.
There are many other watersports on offer in the area like kayaking, sailing, fishing etc.
Orebic has many shops and restaurants and the old part of Orebic, on the sea front is very picturesque and has a long shingle beach.
In Orebic you can take a car ferry to the island of Korcula and explore this historic island. You can also take a passenger ferry directly to Korcula Old Town, where the architecture has a Venitian influence as this entire area was controlled by Venice for over 400 years. It is also the birth place of Marco Polo and you can visit his ancesteral home. Korcula also has many interesting shops and many bars and restaurants on the leafy front part of the old Town.
The dramatic and stunningly beautiful peninsula is often reffered to as the granery of the area. Some of the best wines in Croatia are made on the pennisula and Korcula from the localy grown grapes and you can visit the winery of your choice and tast the local wines. Visit the lovely little villages nestling in small coves below, specially the village of Trestenik.
Take a drive to The historic old town of Stone and do take a walk on the newly rennovated wall which offers stunning views over this walled city and the salt flats which the wall was built to protect.
A trip to Mali (small) Stone is highly reccomended and a leasurely lunch with local oysters, which are freshly harvested from the bay, is a perfect way to end your tour of the peninsula as here it joins the mainland.
You can take a passenger boat for a day trip to Dubrovnik or car ferry to the island of Mijet or a ferry from Korcula to the island of Havar, north of Korcula.

To book, please email or telephone the dates with details of the apartment and number of persons. I will send you the provisional booking with the price. The booking confirmation will be sent to you on reciept of the 25% of the invoice amount if arrival date is three months or more from the booking date or full payment if less. Number of persons is important as there is a tourist tax per person, per day in Croatia and in Perna it is 7 kuna (60 pence) per adult and 5 kuna per child over 12.
