Villa Fontana apartments are licensed and regulated by The Croatian National Tourist Board and we have been awarded First Class Category. Villa Fontana is situated just 4km from Dubrovnik airport and only 15km from the beautiful city of Dubrovnik - the Pearl of the Adriatic. Water taxis and buses run regularly from the centre of Cavtat to Dubrovnik. All our apartments have air-conditioning, wi-fi access, digital TV, hairdryer, security box (payable locally), tiled or laminate flooring, and are tastefully furnished throughout. Whether you choose an Apartment or just an en-suite bedroom, you will be extremely comfortable. They will be serviced weekly and we provide a regular towel service.

Notes on prices
Full tariff on request. No supplements. We do not charge for single occupancy, nor do we charge extra for maximum occupancy. The price you see is the price you pay - no hidden extras, and includes airport transfers for stays of 3 nights or more. Our tariff is quoted in Croatian Kuna, but we will convert to £ sterling using HSBC bank exchange rate, to be paid into our British bank account. We can also accept Euro on request. No credit card facilities.
Changeover day
We are flexible on length of stay and we are here to help.
Normal check-in time is 2:00pm and check-out is 10:00am however, if your flights are outside these hours we have a free left luggage service available.

| Besides Superior and 2 bed-room apartments, our three, one-bedroom apartments sleep four people when the sofa bed is utilised. The lounges have comfortable furniture, coffee tables, digital tv, laminate floors. Tastefully furnished and decorated. Books in English in every apartment and even more in the reception area. The kitchens are open plan and are fully equipped with fridge, microwave oven, electric hob, toaster, pots, cutlery and crockery. Bathrooms are fully tiled with shower cabinet. All apartments have air conditioning, wi-fi access, digital TV, hairdryer, safe, tiled or laminate flooring, and are tastefully furnished throughout. There are also 3 double/twin en-suite bedrooms available. Two of which have balconies. The rooms have TV, air-conditioning, coffee/teamaking facilities, hairdryer, security box (payable locally) and fridge.
Accessibility
Villa Fontana benefits from being the only villa in the area which is totally on the flat. The gentle stroll along the sea front to the center of Cavtat is dotted with bars and restaurants and strolling round the headland, shaded with pine trees is extremely pleasant way to spend the day.
Outside
Our secluded pool surrounded by a landscaped sun terrace and sunbeds, is the perfect place for you to enjoy a cooling drink from our poolside fridge. The fountain forms the centrepiece of the terrace, where there is a large barbecue available for general use and a spacious area to create your own barbecue party. Car hire, water skiing, speed boat and guided coach excursions can all be arranged during your holiday. This is an excellent location for geocaching treasure hunts. There is a regular boat service to Dubrovnik which leaves from the pier only a few minutes walk from Villa Fontana, and a Tourist bus service runs direct to the Old Town of Dubrovnik from the nearby hotel, so getting about is very easy. The three island cruise also goes every day from the pier making Villa Fontana a good base for your sightseeing.
Coast/Beach
The beach is just a 3 min walk from the Villa, where you can bathe in the shallow waters of The Adriatic or, if you prefer to sunbathe on the rocks, there are many secluded spots along the waterside, where you will also find shade under the pine trees. Water sports and Diving center are close by as well as the mountainous Ronald Brown Pathway.

Travel
Although Dubrovnik airport is only 4km away, Villa Fontana is not on the flight path. Airport transfers are included for a stay of three or more nights. Car hire car can be arranged at our reception or in advance by e-mail. Please remember to bring your driving licence with you!
Distances
Villa Fontana is in the pretty village of Cavtat only 15km South of the famous old walled city of Dubrovnik, which is easy to get to by boat or bus.
To the south, the Montenegro border is only 30km away and makes an interesting day out. Mostar (famous for the iconic bridge) in Bosnia, is fascinating for a full day out. If you fancy just a shortish run out (about 20km), then the botanical gardens at Trsteno are splendid. Guided excursions are available.
Further details
Protect yourself please check your travel insurance carefully. ATOL rules don’t apply for flight only bookings. Did you know that if airlines fail for any reason, including the recession, then flights paid for using a debit card would not be refunded? (If you book your flight using a credit card then there is some protection if you have spent over £100, but you must claim within 60 days). There is a little known scheduled airline failure insurance policy that you can buy (included as standard in travel insurance bought from the post office) that will guarantee a refund of the cost of your flight if the airline close, provided you have bought your ticket more than 2 weeks in advance of the airline going out of business! Please make sure your insurance includes this element.
Booking notes
E-mail direct, we will then contact you immediately to advise availability, price and terms and conditions. Upon receipt of your booking we will issue you with an invoice and your deposit of £200 per apartment or £100 per room will be required by return. Your reservation is confirmed when the deposit arrives in our account, and the balance will be due 60 days before arrival. Our bank facilities are in the UK and we use HSBC rate of exchange only.

Very friendly and helpful owners - provided everything we needed. Being picked up and dropped off at the airport saved a lot of hassle. The villa was well located - far enough from the centre of Cavtat to be quiet, but close enough for a short stroll. Our flat was well equiped and ideal for what we needed. The swimming pool was very well maintained (as was the rest of the property). Janet booked excursions for us - we were picked up outside the villa - we went to Montenegro and Korcula, and also went to Dubrovnik, once by boat and once by bus.
Overall we had a brilliant time and would like to thank Janet and Miro for a wonderful holiday.
