A modern,well equipped 1st floor accommodation with a spacious balcony boasting stunning sunset and sea views. A few minutes walk in one direction takes you to bamboo fringed beaches. Alternatively in the other direction you can enjoy the bathing areas alongside the medieval town walls. There is a variety of restaurants, bars and shops with a vibrant outside market open daily. There are two well stocked supermarkets. Novigrad is an historic, picturesque fishing village positioned on the North West shore of the Istrian peninsula. It is surrounded by partially preserved medieval walls and towers with numerous houses built between 15th and 18th centuries.

Bedrooms: Double bedroom with double bed,large wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables/lights. Mirror and hairdryer. Portable fan.
Bathrooms: Fully tiled bathroom with wc, separate shower, no bath, wash basin, cabinet and mirror. Washing machine. Thermostatically controlled water heater. Electric wall heater.
Kitchen: Fully fitted modern kitchen with electric oven and grill, ceramic hob, microwave and a fridge with a small freezer.
Living Rooms: Large living/dining room 2 double bed settees or can be slept on as a single bed quite comfortably without extending. Storage cupboard/drawers. Remote control TV, DVD and air-con. Dining table/chairs for 6, usually used on balcony during summer.
Other: Ground floor secure store room houses all beach equipment ( mattresses, towels,shoes etc) which you are welcome to use. Two new bicycles are available to rent. There is an additional fridge, useful in extra hot weather for those few extra beers.

All towels including beach towels and beach mattresses are provided. All bedlinen is provided. Extra bedlinen to be found in storage compartments under the two bed settees. There is a laundry and cleaning service after your departure.

Notes on accommodation
There is an amply sized secure car park with remote controlled electric gate. Access to the apartment is up 1 flight of a wide internal staircase. A video intercom security in the apartment. A ground floor store room houses 2 new bicycles (ladies and gents) available for rent and beach matresses/towels, shoes etc.
It is appreciated if there is no smoking in the apartment, thank you.

Coast/Beach
5 minutes walk one way from the apartment will take you to secluded bamboo fringed beaches, 5 mins, or so, the other way will take you to the bathing areas incorporated into the ancient town walls of Novigrad.The truly crystal clear Adriatic water is 25degrees C during the summer months which makes it perfect for snorkelling. Beach showers and changing cubicles are are handy for a quick rinse before you enjoy a refreshing drink or an appetising lunch at one of the beachside restaurants.

Golf
There are a couple of golf courses a short drive away.

Travel
Nearest airport is Pula 50kms south of Novigrad, easy (1 hr max) drive to Novigrad. To the north is Italy's Trieste airport (1 hr 20 min max). Ryanair fly daily from Stansted and Birmingham to both these airports. Thomson fly in high season from Birmingham to Pula. Private transfer and or car hire can be arranged from both airports, alternatively car hire is easily available at the airports. If you prefer not to drive, a private driver can be arranged.

Distances
Novigrad is ideally situated for easy travel to many places of interest, both on the coast and inland where some of the most ancient and picturesque villages can be found.
Day trips across the Adriatic can be taken from Porec, 20 mins drive down the coast road. Boat trips to various places along the extensive coastline can also be explored.
Many forms of watersports can be experienced at nearby Lanterna, 10 mins by road or a regular water taxi from the old harbour which could be more fun.

Further details
There are several banks and ATM machines within easy walking distance in the town, also a post office and medical centre. Although Croatia is not yet in the EU it gives health care to UK citizens with a valid NHS European Health Insurance card.
