Villa Melissa is situated on Croatia's Dalmatian coast on the island of Ciovo, just 10 minutes from the beautiful town of Trogir. Known as ‘little Venice’ and considered to be the cultural centre of Dalmatia, this spectacular town was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1989. We have two apartments on offer (both sleeping four persons) each with balconies, air-conditioning and panoramic sea views and fully equipped to 3 star standards. The villa itself is 80 metres from the waters edge and a short walk from a shop, post office, restaurant and beach. Regular buses operate the short trip to Trogir and Split airport is just 20 minutes away, with easyjet operating regular flights from Gatwick.

Villa Melissa - Lower Apt (Sleeps 4/6, 2 Bedrooms)

The lower apartment consists of two bedrooms - a double and a twin both with wardrobes and sea views. The living room has a sofa, TV providing sleeping for four persons and there is a Large conservatory with table and seating for four persons. The kitchen is fully equipped and to prepare food you will find a cooker, fridge/freezer, kettle and toaster, also provided are cutlery, crockery, glassware, and cooking utensils. The bathroom has a shower, washbasin and WC. |

Notes on accommodation
Both apartments are equipped with heaters and air-conditiong and the accommodation is child friendly although care should be taken on steps and balconies.
Outside
Villa Melissa is surrounded by private gardens with fruit trees and a short walk down some steps takes you to the waters edge. Both apartments have balconies to the front with panoramic sea views stretching from Trogir to the north. Whereas the lower apartment has a conservatory the upper apartment benefits from a large terrace area.
Coast/Beach
For a quick dip the sea is just a min walk away down some steps, however there is a pleasant beach with bar approximately 5 mins walk down the road. A little further away are a number of little coves and beaches.
Travel
We are ideally situated just 20 mins drive from Split airport and for those arriving by ferry we are about 45 mins from Split port. Car hire is easily available from Split airport however regular buses service the journey from Okrug Donji to Trogir.
Distances
The villa is approx 10 mins by bus/car from the medieval city of Trogir, which links to the mainland via two bridges. Known as 'little Venice' and considered to be the cultural centre of Dalmatia, this spectacular town was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1989. A further half an hour journey takes you to the city of Split, known for its ancient Diocletian Palace (UNESCO), and a great place from which to explore islands such as Brac and Hvar.
