Over 100 years old, this traditional, Istrian stone house lies on the hillside of sleepy Brnobici. It has panoramic views of the Istrian coast below. Beautifully restored, with old wood beams, stone stairs and polished wood floors, the house is built on three floors. On the ground floor there is a kitchen-diner, small double bedroom and bathroom with shower. On the 1st floor there is a large living room with stone fireplace and balcony. On the top floor there are 2 double bedrooms and bathroom with bath. Outside there is a small garden with a 6x3m2 pool, covered dining area with stone table & sun terrace with sea views. Parking is private, at the start of the property & screened from the garden by wrought iron gates. There is a restaurant a minute's walk away & others close by. There's also a mini-supermarket a short walk away. Friendly Croatian neighbours. With its stone staircase & unfenced swimming pool, this property is unsafe for toddlers or small children who can not swim.

Notes on prices
Meet & Greet service: For an aditional 50 Euros you can have the keys delivered to the house by our local English-speaking agent who will greet you, show you around, provide information on the area and act as a local contact throughout your stay. For another 30 Euros she will collect the keys from you at the end of your trip. Alternatively you can collect & drop off the keys yourself free of charge.

Changeover day
Preferred changeover day is Saturday. Other changeover days are possible, except in July and August.

Bedrooms: Bedrooms 1 and 2 are on the top floor under the eaves of the house. They are both good-sized double rooms. Bedroom 1 has a large double bed – 160x200 and bedroom 2 has twin beds. Bedroom 3 is on the ground floor and is a small, cosy double with twin beds.
Bathrooms: Upstairs: Bath with shower, sink and WC.
Downstairs: Shower, sink, bidet and WC.
Kitchen: 4-ring gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, microwave, dining table with 6 chairs.
Utility Room: Washing machine
Living Rooms: 2 sofas, open fire, TV, DVD player, CD/tape/radio, library of books, CDs and DVDs. On the balcony there are a sofa, 2 chairs and a table.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
House is cleaned once a week. Bed linen, bath and T-towels are provided and changed weekly.

 

Notes on accommodation
House has official tourist classification for legal renting in Croatia. Safe in bedroom. Hairdryer provided. High chair and cot for baby available. Welcome pack available as an option, details on booking. With its stone staircase, low windows and unfenced swimming pool, this property is unsuitable for toddlers and small children who cannot swim. We therefore do not accept children under 7; babies who cannot walk are accepted - sorry its a safety issue!

Attached to the living room, the balcony has a table, sofa and 2 chairs. It is covered with a retractable awning.
Outside there is a pergola-covered dining area with a barbeque, stone table and 6 teak chairs. Next to the private pool (6x3m) there is a covered terrace with sea views and lounger chairs.
There is space for 1 car at the entrance to the property. The car is screened from the garden by a metal gate.

Coast/Beach
The property is 10 minutes drive from either the beach in Porec or the seaside complex of Lanterna. Other seaside towns such as Vrsar, Rovinj and Pula are only a little further away.

Travel
Car is essential. Pula airport 45 mins. Ljubljana airport c. 2 hr 30 mins. Rijeka airport c. 1 hr 30 mins. Trieste airport c.1 hr 30 mins (depending on traffic and border delays). Venice 2 hours away by high speed ferry.

Distances
In one direction, historic Porec with its ancient Bascilica and the sea is only 10 minutes drive away. In another, it is only 10 minutes drive to the pretty town of Tar and the seaside complex at Lanterna. In-land, attractive, hill-top Visnjan is only 5 minutes away. Other coastal towns such as Rovinj and Vrsar are an easy drive, as are a whole host of beautiful inland hill-top towns and villages.

Further details
From Brnobici, it is a pleasant stroll through country lanes to the adjoining villages of Kastelir and Labinci. In the area there are plenty of locals selling their own wine, olive oil and rakija (grappa), as well as several shops for all your supplies, and several good restaurants. A good general store is only 7 minutes walk away and the nearest restaurant is a short 2-minute stroll. The main supermarket is in Porec, 10 minutes drive away.
